Subject: Discontinued foods of the 90's

Written By: preston181 on 07/06/17 at 6:41 pm

So, a few foods that I enjoyed in the 90's that are sadly discontinued:

Zesty Italian Hamburger Helper: My mom used to cook us this stuff. It was great with bread and butter, used to mop up the excess sauce. The closest you can get these days is Cheesy Italian Shells, but it's just not the same.

McDonalds' Arch Deluxe: Back in the tail end of the 90's, (I want to say 96 or 97), McDonald's introduced a "grown up" menu, and the Arch Deluxe topped my list of all time favorite sandwiches that they carried, especially with the optional circular bacon on it. Unfortunately, not enough other people agreed, and the sandwich was discontinued.

Keebler Magic Middle cookies: I remember these from the early 90's, and sorely miss them. They were shortbread cookies with a liquidish chocolate inside.

Razzles: A candy similar to Skittles, but sour. I remember the commercial's tag line: "get them before they get you".

Anyone else have some now discontinued foods from the 90's that they miss?

Zesty Italian was delicious. It was discontinued, in the Denver area at least, some time in the late 2000s, I think. Or maybe it was the early 2010s. But it was delicious and I have no idea why they discontinued it.

Those magic middle cookies were also good.

Do they still make zebra gum?

In Australia, we used to have All you can eat at Pizza Hut. That was pretty fun in the 90s

In 19998 McDonalds had a special promotion for the movie Mulan with limited time Szechuan Sauce for the McNuggets.

I can't find the chocolate bar "Choclairs" anywhere. It was my favourite back in the '90s!

Nah I don't think so, it was simply just chicken nuggets and sweet & sour sauce. McDonalds was (and still is) not THAT fancy ;D

I don't think Stop N Shop has this flavor yet but they're always trying to cater to the cultural neighborhood.
