So many to choose from... which one will I select first?
How about...
"Everything I Do, I Do It For You" by Bryan Adams:

This one began a 7-week run at #1 on the U.S. charts on this date in 1991.

Today it's a random selection for me. I choose "Carnival" by Natalie Merchant, her 1995 solo debut hit:
u1-J2tTDFk4
This is the entire album version, 6 minutes. (Actually 5 1/2 minutes, but there is a "playback" at the end for the last few seconds.)

From 1990/1991, UB40's cover of "Here I Am (Come And Take Me)":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4msPpieNUw
This version was a hit in the U.S. around mid 1991.
The 22-second "intro" is usually omitted when played on the radio. Also there is a portion during the main part of the song that is sometimes skipped over on some radio stations, namely the instrumental bridge from 2:31 to 2:51 (but I like to hear all 20 seconds of it).

I believe they were technically a one-hit-wonder group, although another single from them did chart in the UK. Stay was a Number One hit for six weeks in the UK as well as in Australia, Japan and most of Europe. Siobhan Fahey from Bananarama (and ex-wife of The Eurythmic's Dave Stewart) was co-founder of the band with American-born singer Marcella Detroit.

Apparently it did get released as a single in '99 but must not have done well on the charts, if at all. I for one have not heard it on radio, for one thing.
However, their album Fever In Fever Out, which contained the single "Naked Eye", did spawn two other singles ("Under Your Skin" and "Why Do I Lie"), one of which was featured on the soundtrack to the movie Good Will Hunting (which I've seen, but didn't pay attention to any music).

I remember that one very well from 1997. At the time I was surprised that a song with that title was allowed to get radio airplay. But then again, the Rolling Stones also had a song with that name from their 1971 album Sticky Fingers (and remains a hit on classic rock radio), and Elton John scored a hit later in the 1970s with that word in the title ("The Bitch Is Back").
I also think the artist, Meredith Brooks, ended up being a one hit wonder with that song (at least as a soloist).

From wiki:
Two years after her death, Cassidy's music was brought to the attention of British audiences, when her versions of "Fields of Gold" and "Over the Rainbow" were played by Mike Harding and Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2. Following the overwhelming response, a camcorder recording of "Over the Rainbow", taken at Blues Alley in Washington by her friend Bryan McCulley, was shown on BBC Two's Top of the Pops 2. Shortly afterwards, the compilation album Songbird climbed to the top of the UK Albums Chart, almost three years after its initial release. The chart success in the United Kingdom and Ireland led to increased recognition worldwide. Her posthumously released recordings, including three UK number-one records, have sold more than ten million copies. Her music has also charted within the top 10 in Australia, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.

Yesterday was Bonnie Raitt's 69th birthday, and she had a number of hits during the 1990s.
Here is a single of hers that was a hit around late 1991/early 1992 (from her 1991 album Luck Of The Draw), "Not The Only One":

In addition it could be considered a "decade cusp" song because it was first released in '89 in her native Canada, but later became a U.S. hit in 1990, so it's perfectly okay. O0

Jurassic Park a parody of MacArthur Park
I recall the time they
found those fossilized mosquitos
and before long they were cloning
DNA.
Now I'm being chased by
some irate velociraptors
well, believe me, this has
been one lousy day
Jurassic Park is frightening in the dark
all the dinosaurs are running wild
someone shut the fence off in the rain
I admit it's kind of eerie
but this proves my chaos theory
and I don't think I'll be coming back again
oh no!
I cannot approve of this attraction
cause getting disemboweled always
makes me kind of mad.
A huge tyrannosaurus ate our lawyer
well, I suppose that proves they're
really not all bad.
Jurassic Park is frightening in the dark
all the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let t-rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things will harm me
cause they sure don't act like Barney
and they think that I'm their dinner
not their friend oh no!
Jurassic Park is frightening in the dark
all the dinosaurs are running wild
what a crummy weekend this has been
Well this sure ain't no ticket
think I'll tell em where to stick it
Cause I'm never coming back this way again!
Oh no! OH NO!
