Clueless was the definitive mid 90s teen movie. Do you agree with that statement?

I would agree. When I think mid 90s teen tv I think of my so called life. Even though I never watched it.

One show I did like from the mid 90s was Beavis and Butthead. Because it was cartoons of frustrated kids who were almost afraid to say anything too awful bad. Made it hilarious. Now South Park on the other hand... run the other way, that’s just downright vulgar and I don’t like it.

Grunge really took over from 1992 to 1994. My So Called Life serves as a great time capsule of what living in the mid 90s was like.

Season 1 and the first half of season 2 counts as mid 90s. Definitely. FRIENDS was David Schwimmer‘s big break after The Wonder Years.

I am now currently on catch-up with "Friends" on Netflix.

Friends was ‘Thirtysomething, but for Gen Xers’. I loved the 80s flashbacks. Some of them like the Miami Vice suit one was quite realistic.

I still watch Friends when they're on repeats.

I avoid the repeats on television, for I may see something that my spoil it for me.

Did you own a Beavis and Butthead shirt in 1994 or 1995?

Nope. I just found them amusing to watch at night in my dorm room. But I did do a cornholio impression once.

I watched them once, and found annoying, not my cup of tea.

How can you find the controversy of Beavis yelling fire at the theater in one episode? My folks would not allow to me watch Beavis and Butthead after that.

Why not?

Why not?

My folks feared I would do the same thing in a theater. That false alarm (me shouting fire) would have gotten me banned from a movie theater.

Tickle Me Elmo and Nintendo 64 were one of the hottest toys during Christmas of '96
