Pop culture and nostalgia is pretty dormant right now because of Covid so I'm not sure. We'll know after Covid is a memory or a regular virus integrated in our post-mask lives.

Haven't heard of much 90s nostalgia since 2017. Early 00s nostalgia seems to be the new thing.

There are still a lot of 90s remakes, like Rugrats and Animaniacs. That's just evidence of what sells, though, not what's considered cool.

Yes. 90s retro fashion is still in, Rugrats was rebooted, etc. I have friends who really dig the grunge vibes n ish, I expect more 90s reboots and more films set in the 90s this decade. But the 00s - particularly the early 00s - are starting to have their moment.

Rugrats held no nostalgia for me, I just switched the television off.

Rugrats just had reboot now with some 2020s changes. If that’s not 90s nostalgia then idk what it is. Sounds more like denial buddy

It is 'catching a new generation of children', Disney does the same with it's movies.

Lots of cartoons do that, look at scooby doo and the looney tunes.
