Movie fans can now own an authentic replica of Carl Fredrickson's flying house from the hit film 'Up'.

US firm Bangerter Homes has built a real life four bedroom version, with an asking price of £250,000, south of Salt Lake City.

While watching the Academy Award-winning film one night with his family, Blair Bangerter recognised the lengths Disney/Pixar had gone to in creating the house.

He felt a real life version could be attempted and, after working through the floor plan and structural details, concluded it was feasible.

Just like in the movie, the turn of the century period house with steep pitched roofs and unique detailing has been decorated to reflect the 1950s era.

"If you have seen it in the movie, you'll see it in real life in the home," said Adam Bangerter.
