Norwegian Boy Fends Off Wolf Pack with Heavy Metal
The plan worked. Eikrem said he was able to drive away the wolves by playing the song "Overcome" by the American hard-rock band Creed. "They didn't really get scared," Walter said. "They just turned around and simply trotted away."
Since when was Creed considered Heavy Metal? And walking away from someone playing Creed is something he'll experience later in life when he starts meeting girls I suspect.

I agree with you, Creed aren't metal, but this story is awesome. Now if only I could repel insects with metal...

With the disclaimer that it was likely prompted by the event in question (the meme is dated Jan 24, 2011 at 04:31AM UTC), I've gotta give credit to the Internets for inventing it and to the Googles for indexing it so that I could find it within 48 hours.
