So, it seems a billionaire has the the idea to rebuild the Titanic to modern glory.
This replica Titanic will be rebuilt to exacting standards, just like, exactly like the original, yet with "modern, technological improvements in navigation and amenities".
So I assume this means the new "Titanic" 2016 (to be built in China, no less) will have GPS and all manner of other 21 century features to assist it though any navigational or iceburg issue it might encounter. In addition the billionaire is proposing the US and UK Navy would escort it from its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York (to avoid any mishaps).
Well, I guess we'll see. Somehow I don't think having "modern, technological improvements in navigation and amenities" is fair, to the iceberg...
I think someone should build a corresponding, "modern" iceberg with directional propulsion capabilities to slam into a replica Titanic just to make the whole thing more "sporting", don't you think? ;)

If the Titanic II successfully completes her maiden voyage without incident, will this same billionaire get cocky and build a new Hindenburg? ::)
