Subject: Guess What Today Is?

Okay, obviously it's January 27th, but it also happens to be my daughter's first birthday!!!!  Since she's so young we aren't planning more than a small family gathering, but when she gets old enough to know what's going on, watch out!!!

Happy birthday. We'll be watching out, sure we will... how long's it going to be until she's introduced to this board?

Tell her Happy Birthday from us, Wicked Lester!  They are so cute when they are that small.  Are you going to let her at the cake? Or just give her a slice?

When my daughter turned 1, we had a mini-cake just for her, and a regular cake for the rest of the family.

That's the absolute greatest thing about Mr. Kipling... we did exactly the same on my brothers 9th birthday two years ago.

Tell her Happy Birthday from me, too.  I love that birthday, my daughter rubbed the frosting in her hair.  Enjoy it! ;D ;D ;D

Hey folks, thanks! The first slice of cake we gave her ended up splattered against the wall (yes, frosting first), but she did figure out she was supposed to eat the second one! All in all, a good day!

Hey Lester!  What a very special day it is for you and your family!!! ;)  Of course I'm typing this when it's almost the end of her birthday (or already is where you are) but I still wish her all the best!  Wish I could see pictures...I bet she's adorable!   :)

Hope it was a great day for your family, Wicked Lester!  I know I'm late, but this is my first day back in a week or so and didn't want your special event to go by unnoticed by me! Those first birthdays are such a kick..we actually set the video camera up in front of our kids' high chairs and left it run while they ate their first cake (they each had little cakes just for them)..my son was all up in his..hands covered in cake, frosting, and waving in the air.  My daughter was a little more laid back, she picked at it, ate a little, shook her hands around, and then got a little tired and grouchy about the entire affair.  I definitely think first birthdays are more of a celebration for us than it seems to be to them!!  :)
