Girl, sounds like you wouldn't mind being stranded as long as your hubby was with you.   ;)  Barry White, he he!

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is an AWESOME movie.  I have the whole thing memorized.  I watch it about 49 times during the holidays, and occassionally during the year I'll pop in the tape.

I think if me and the hubby could get away to a deserted island ALL my problems would be solved...we just bought my parents company of almost 20 years...with 4 offices around the state...and the only time we see each other is passing on the interstate..so we would BOTH love the time off.....and Barry would make it even MORE worth while!!

Oh and for "Vacation"...I call myself the BIGGEST fan..I have burnt up two copies of it..and now on my 3rd...I have both my nephews (goldies boys) addicted to it...we watch it here non stop...just ask me a scene and I can tell you the words verbatum!!  I would say since it came out..I have watched it no less than 500 times...atleast a few times during the months (or when they are down or I am up for a visit) and any time when nothing is on the tube..and as far as the holidays....almost every night around here...someone is always over and I have it playing....

I think you have me beat...I'm still on tape #1.  ;)

My favorite part of the movie is when he's stuck in the attic.  I cry every time I hear that song "Christmas is the Time of Year..." when he's watching his old home movies.  Then I laugh my a*s off when they open the attic door and he falls.  The movie is priceless!

I don't know if I have a favorite scene...let me see if I can narrow it down.....eddie with "sh*ter's full" is a golden moment....Clark having his melt down after the tree is burned  "Holy Sh*t..where's the tylenol".....when Clark wishes his boss Merry Christmas and then all the other big wigs after him..."Merry Christmas...Happy Hannakuh...Kiss my a**...kiss his a*s".....and of course..the one you speak of...I LOVE that song...and it does make you cry!!!!

edited cuz the censors made kiss my a** into "I disagree"!!  hehe!!

Hmmm, it let me write ass.

Yes, those are funny scenes.  The scene when he's in the mall and he's making an ass out of himself with Mary the saleslady.  That's FUNNY.

Funny Eddie moments:

- When cousin Eddie is drinking egg nog and he's spilling it all over the carpet
- When he raves about the "cat food jello"
- When he tells his wife to get out the rubber sheets and gerbil
- When he talks about his son and his new job as the pixie dust spreader on the tilt-a-whirl

OK, a question...have you ever seen "The Secret Garden?"  If so, is the little girl from C Vacation (Kathryn, I think that's her name) the main actress on "The Secret Garden?"  I watched that movie the other day and I couldn't remember where I knew the girl from, then I was like, "CHRISTMAS VACATION!"  Have you seen it?
End Quote

Ruby Sue was her name.....Kathryn was the mom...and yes I have seen it...years ago..who knew the little girl could say anything but "Shittin Bricks"!!!

And Rusty went on to be on Roseanne as Darlenes boyfriend for many years!!!

And I love the scene with Eddie with the eggnog and the carnival kid...don't you just love that "dickie" he has on under his turtleneck!!!!  "He is a beastly, BULDGING MAN"!!!!

and when Eddie says  "FRIED PUSSY CAT"!!!!!!!!!!!!

lets see if the censors get me on any of this!!!!!!!!

Hairspray told me once to alter **s on one of my sigs. I was quoting from my sister who told me after I was late for work (again), "They're gonna fire your (I disagree), I betcha." I work for the Federal Government, and the only disciplinarian (SIC) action I've known them to do with a permanent member is verbal warnings and garnishment of pay. But please don't give them any incentive. :-[

Ahh, Roseanne, another one of my favs.  Yes, David (aka Rusty aka Johnny Galecki) was awesome on Roseanne...I loved his character.

When you are referring to "bulging man," do you mean when they are walking through K-Mart and he's wearing those obscenely tight pants?  One can't help but notice...my mom and I are like, "Oh MY GOSH!"

Ok, now that I'm home from work, and have had time to think I wanna change my choice of book.

Since we are allowed to take movies and cd's, we obviosly have electricity.  So I don't need any how-to books and my chosen male companion does not need to have any skills.  (Well, he should be skilled at that, but we needn't go into details here).

So in that case, I would like to bring either all of Terry Pratchett's Discword series, or Piers Anthony's Xanth series.

For music, as well as movies, that answer will change almost daily, as I'm afraid I like too many things.  Today's choices will be:
CD: Harry Belafonte's Greatest Hits package
Movie: Interview With A Vampire

For food, right now I would pick Indian, but keep in mind tomorrow's answer will be different.

For drink, it must be either coffee with plenty of cream and sugar, or Coca-Cola.

Game? I don't think I can tell you.  http://www.clicksmilie.de/sammlung/traurig/traurig023.gif  The censorship software won't....

Huh? Not that kind of game?  Ooops.

It seems like you guys are beginning to rub off on me. ;)

Heck, if I had known Mystery Woman was into older men, I'd take her along!  I could take Zella for her wit and wisdom, but not for her body…

Well, Zella seemed quizzical as to how tongue-in-cheek was CD's statement in another thread. She didn't seemed too hurt, but she is could be sensitive as far as the subject is concerned. I hope Don can at least clarify for her.

You guys didn't take that statement seriously, right? Right? I thought it was funny as he//. It's just sooo ironic :) :D ;D

What I meant to say is that Zella has a beautiful mind and if I were to take a woman with me to a desert isle for the purpose of companionship, I would take Zella.  If it were for the nasty thing, then Mystery Woman.  If she looks the same now as she does in her '80's pic, then I would take her.  She is a beautiful woman in her 1980's pic!
