Subject: Impossible Song Titles (Re-threaded)

Written By: FussBudgetVanPelt on 05/09/02 at 10:54 p.m.

I started this thread before the great crash, and it didn't get too far...

I wanted to re-start it to see what more would be suggested :

The idea was Song Titles that were not possible.

Here's what was contributed before the crash :

Dancing On The Ceiling - Lionel Ritchie
Edge of the World - Faith No More
Eye In The Sky - Alan Parsons Project
Gald to be unhappy - Mamas & Papas
I Am The Walrus - Beatles
Life Is A Ministrone       - 10CC
Little Pink Moon - Nick Drake
Live Forever - Oasis
Living on the Ceiling - Blancmange
Roll Over Beethoven - Beatles
Surprise! You're Dead! - Faith No More
Sweet and tender Hooligans - Smiths
Wake Up Dead - Megadeth
While My Guitar Gently Weeps - Beatles
You Only Live Twice - Nancy Sinatra
Zombie Eaters - Faith No More

"Everybody Is A Star"-Sly & the Family Stone

"Thunder Kiss '65"-White Zombie (how shocking)
"99 Bottles of Beer On the Wall"-(With Superglue?)
Almost forgot: "Bouncing On The Walls"-Phish (unless it was Plasticman)

Oh Dear  - I don't understand - I did French in High School !

Is there a translation or are they just german type words you made up ?

The translation seems to go 'I left my heart in heidelberg' but what's the Verloren bit ?

Sounds like an expensive 70's sports car driven by Michael J Fox   :D

I have my heart in Heidelberg left.

I did French in high school too, but German's much more fun--you get to say everything backwards!

...though the latter is much more likely, given the duelling tradition in Heidelberg

On topic, however:
Dee Snider - Cry You A Rainbow
and of course:
Great Balls Of Fire
