rip_jeans is back, but having a problem. After I login with my user name, password and check the box always stay logged on, it won't remember who I am when I go to a different area of this site. My browser is IE6. Any suggestions. Please reply under this thread as I used a fake email address. Thanks.

Hi rip_jeans

I don't know if this will help you much, but I have this problem on my PC.

I solve it by before I go to another screen, I check out the time in the top r/h corner (just under your username).

Then when I go to another screen, I make sure the time isn't earlier.  If it is it has usually taken me back to a cached version of that screen (and sometimes that can mean before accepting my username/password).

If this happens I refresh the screen by pressing F5.  Hardly acceptable, but it does fix the problem for me.  Hope it helps for you.

I suspect it means my registry is so messed up that I need to re-format and re-install my OS  >:(

Good luck

I know exactly what he means.  I pity not having a P.C. around for long stretches of time. I just got mine back and on-line after about 4weeks.

check your security settings... you need to be able to set cookies, if you can't set cookies, it won't track your login info.

Thanks ChuckyG! That's exactly what it was. At first I thought it was my firewall software, but when it fixed that, it still wouldn't remember my info. Then taking your advise, I went to internet options and fixed the problem. Thanks again.
