Are we talking any old ice cream?

If you're talking soft ice cream/yogurt/whatever, there are 2 things I absolutely looovve to have on my vanilla version - hot fudge AND butterscotch!!     :o   Either is great, but if I can hog both together, so much the better!

Caramel.  Or hot fudge and peanuts.  I like sprinkles sometimes, too.  ;D

When I was a kid, I would insist on putting cheese doodles on my vanilla ice cream.  :-X

But I'm much better now.

Chocolate sauce is my favorite now, on most flavors. If it's orange sherbet, (or any of the sherbets) chocolate is no good.  But M & M's or Resse's Pieces work just about anywhere.

I like chocolate syrup on most ice cream. Kat is right, chocolate syrup doesn't go on orange sherbert! I like nuts, especially peanuts and almonds.

I don't really care whether there is a topping. I never add one at home, but sometimes if I buy a cone out someplace I'll get some almond slivers for it.

I got everyone beat!  There's a place in Providence, RI that sells thee best ice cream with thee best toppings.  What I get when I go there is chocalate/vanilla swirled dipped in hot fudge.  And I do mean dipped.  Aldo if you like, they have the same ice cream cones and they roll the ice cream in the candies so the ice cream is covered with candies.  It's soooooooooooooooooooo good.

Well....

First you take some thick hot fudge, and pour it over the top, letting it take its own sweet time as it makes its way down the delicately rounded sides in a delicious gooey mess.  Then you drizzle some carmel sauce over the fudge in an intricate, almost intoxicating pattern that just makes you want to dive right in.  But wait!  You still have to spray on the whipped cream in a couple of strategically placed, irresistably inviting mounds.  And finally, the crowning glory - a maraschino cherry, stem still attached, so when you eat it you can flaunt your prowess by tying the stem in a knot with your tongue...

What's that?  ICE CREAM??  Ohhh....  ::)  Okay.  Plain, preferably in a sugar cone.  ;D

Ice cream toppings hey? Hmmmmmmmm...my all-time fave is only available in Australia so I don't get it very often...only when I beg my Aussie friends to send me a bottle...it's by Cadbury and it's called Cherry Ripe..they also make chocolate bars...again, only in Australia :(  :'(

Secondly, and my fave that I actually can get in Canada is Legend Velvet Vanilla smothered in Phillips Butter Ripple Schnapps......mmmmmmmmmmm........

And may I add that if Lester doesn't want to play....I may know someone who lives close enough the whipped cream would still be firm by the time he gets there..... ;)
