Heart - Alone was from 1987
Wilder's Stride was from 1984

I'm pretty sure "Melt With You" is from 1982.  I don't know for sure, I wasn't born then.  :-/  I'm sure someone else here can tell you. :)

I had never ever heard of that song until my holiday - i got 14 out of 15 in the music quiz - and i got that song wrong as i had no idea what it was! Every other song was so easy - so I just had to know when it was released!

Thanks for the others also guys :)

I realised that, but I was more taking into account the fact that Criz (from England, like me) would like to know that it hit the charts in 1977. I think I realise it was from 76 now - sorry!

Screwball54 gave you the debut dates of the 7 songs on your list that made the pop chart here in the U.S. Here are the dates on the other 5:

"Bad Reputation" - JOAN JETT  (#48 AOR hit on 04/04/81 in the U.S., although released in 1980 on the Joan Jett album, which was later re-titled Bad Reputation)

"Over My Shoulder" - MIKE + THE MECHANICS  (cut off their 1995 album, Beggar on a Beach of Gold)

"Where is My Mind" - PIXIES  (cut off their 1988 album, Surfer Rosa)

"Can't Hardly Wait" - THE REPLACEMENTS  (cut off their 1987 album, Pleased to Meet Me)

"Peaches" - STRANGLERS  (debuted 05/21/77 on the U.K. pop chart - not a hit in the U.S.)
