I can think of really only two places that I really think I would CHOOSE to live in.  They are:

San Diego, CA (Paradise City, West Coast)
Virginia Beach, VA (Paradise City, East Coast)

I'm curious as to why you chose Virginia Beach, I lived there and didn't like it too much.

Virginia Beach is where I've lived the majority of my life, and I cannot imagine a nicer place than this.  The weather is great, it's got everything you want from a major city yet it's not dirty or crime-ridden, there's the beach, we're only an hour away from Busch Gardens, the people are nice, and apparently (according to my cousin who lives in rural North Carolina) girls, girls, girls.  I guess I've gotten used to that last part, but my cousin could barely move, he was so stunned.

Your right about a couple points, Virginia beach is clean and crime free.  There is a beach, and williamsburg tourist stuff is near bye.  The main reasons are the oppresive police department, and the Idiot laws they have to enforce.  I guess other areas of Hampton Roads are there for crime (ocean View, Portsmouth).  girls everywhere?  must be a different Virginia Beach than I lived in.  The guy to girl ratio is like 5 to 1 no matter what club or bar you go to, Just to many Navy people, I guess.
