Subject: The Best Person I Know

Written By: BadAngel on 08/14/02 at 00:49 a.m.

Who's your favorite person in the world?  Why?

My son is mine.  He represents every hope I have for the future.  He is smart, funny, sensitive, kind, courageous, open, loving...everything a child should be.  ;)  I could live without the smart-a$$ remarks, but hey, he's gotta be a kid, right?  LOL

Next to him is my husband.  We've been together for over close to 13 years, and I still love him just as much as I did when I met him 15 years ago.  :)  He's my rock, and he's my love.

Now, how about you?

It is impossible not for us to come out with the smartass remarks, Badangel.

My favourite person in the whole wide world, other than my parents, who are truly the rock upon which I stand, my true inspiration for all life. That has to be my (ex-girlfriend) Mel, for whom I just have fallen apart in the recent months without her. Love you, honey.

OK, I misunderstood this at first.  LOL  I had to go back and read my post.  You mean it's impossible for kids not to come out with the smarty farty remarks, not the members.  LOL

When I was younger I would have said my sister, she was my hero!  My other is a really good person as well.  But I would have to pick my friend, Netters.  We're Gemini twins, born one day apart.  We're also mirror twins, completely alike and completely opposite.  We've known each other for 13 years now, and we've been through so much together, with so much more to go through.  I'm not a trusting person, and it usually takes a long time before I let people get even a little close to me, but with Netters, it was one night and we were like two parts of a whole together again.  Not that we don't occasionally annoy one another though...

It is hard to narrow down to just one person....

The best person I knew was my friend Rick, who sadly passed away in Jan 2001 from cancer. He was kind, loving, unselfish and caring and he truly loved people - he lived for others and I miss him terribly.

My friend Carol has got to be on the list -- she is always there for me, no matter what.

And three of the best persons I currently know are on this message board -- again: kind, caring and there for you when you need them.... :)

I'd have to say my son Blaine (Suprised?) He was such a beautiful person.  Sadly, I learned more about himAfer his death.  There was a girl in a wheel chair that he used to spend everyday at school reading to....he also used to work out with a girl who was going out for the cross-country team...and all the stories we heard after his funeral about how he always had a smile for them and never was upset when he had a rough day at work.  He also used to bring Wendys food to us at midnight when he got off work there.  Next I'd say my parents...they have been there before and even more since Blaine died.  I also have had the great fortune to have some very kind souls around here ;)

My grandfather. He was smart, funny, and he cared about everyone. And then he died because they couldn't find him a new liver. It's funny though how a few months after he died, Joe DiMaggio managed to get a new liver. That still p*sses me off. They managed to get a healthy liver for an old, alcoholic, baseball player, but they couldn't get one for a young (he was only 54), energetic, loving grandfather. Sorry, even after 12 years it still hurts.

My wife.  She supports this crazy hobby of mine which has taken over an entire bedroom in our house, and is always there for me.

Second would be my brother.  He's 7 years younger than me, used to be very unmotivated and just wanted to play around, but now is working in the parts & service dept. at an auto dealership and goes to school at night to work towards becoming a certified auto mechanic.  I have a lot of respect for him now & let him know every time I talk to him how proud I am of him.

For music has any meaning to you, a particular significance at any time of the day, whenever you listen to it? Just like the friend that is with you through thick and thin, whatever happens, all you need is that music to pull you through again?

as if you didn't know....it would have to be goldie....she has stood by me through everything...not just what is going on in my life now.  She can talk me down out of a fit and calm my nerves and give me strength to move on.  And now that she is having troubles in her life...I hope that I can be the same for her! ;)

I had to post again because I forgot the one person who has been with me through all the bad times I've had since high school: my cousin Michael. He actually saved my life 6 years ago, when I tried to do something foolish. He's always there when I need to talk or complain or cry, and he never fails to make me laugh by being a totally sarcastic smarta$$. He is truly the best person I know (next to my grandfather), and I'll always be thankful he's my cousin.

There are two people in my life whom I love more than anything:

My fiance is the greatest person I know.  We've been together for four years, and every day it gets better.  He's so kind and caring - I can't wait until we're married.

My friend Jean has been my source of inspiration for many years.  He's suffering from an aggressive form of brain cancer, and recently he's taken a turn for the worse.  When he first found out he had cancer, the doctors told him he had a month to live.  He's lived four years since his first diagnosis, and although it's been a struggle for him, he's remained positive.  His faith is amazing to me as well as to countless others.  I know God used him so many times to touch the lives of others, and now it's time for God to take him home.  He's such an amazing person.

I don't have a best person in the whole world, because I don't like to choose favorites. They're all great in my book. :)

I long courtship like that deserve a long, prosperous marriage. And since you both are Christians, I know that He will provide what you need to start a happy, healthy family. Here's to best years together. :D

Me too!  If I had to choose just one, I'd hurt others' feelings. :)
