On the eve of the 28th anniversary of Elvis' death, I like to remember that people were still waiting in large lines to get tickets to see what would be his last concert at Market Square Arena here in Indy. He had said at a news conference that he would need to spend time with his daughter Lisa Marie and his fiancee Ginger Alden in Graceland. How ironic that after his plea for privacy, he would still attract a crowd even in death. My eldest aunt was a huge Elvis fan. So I felt sad for her more than the King. :'(
Of course, I still remember Mama. :'(

I have to be told by my father and brother about the night my son Blaine died...I Still don't remember that night much at all...only little fragments :'(

I remember seeing three tiny faces for the first time, hearing them cry and knowing even as small as they were that they'd be alright. :D

I remember when I was finally allowed to leave home, after pleading with the police for six months... Shame I had to get a black eye from my dad to do it though wasn't it. :(

And we've been inundated with news stories, films, features, songs on the radio that play for twelve hours non-stop on the anniversary of his death...
I thought he was great at the time, but only now have I realised the extent of that that he left behind
