Why is it that no one posts on this board between 9:30 pm and midnight Eastern Time US but when I'm asleep everybody and his brother posts? >:(

A quick calculation tells me that the time you mentioned is
3:30am - 6:00am here (British Summer Time, GMT+1)
That'll be why I don't post ::)

I post any time I want, CD. I'm not mad or anything. The problem is you are currently one Eastern Daylight Time, while Indiana is on Eastern Standard Time throughout the year. That means we are an hour behind you half of the year. So when you go to be at midnight, it is still 11:00PM in most of our state. But we will be at the exact time in late October-early November when most of the country switches back to Eastern Standard Time. I hope this cuts into the confusion a bit. ;)

Except for the part of Indiana that is Central Time, which is, of course, where I live. Can you possibly see why I am always dazed and cofused? ;D

Had to pull this back up. Last night I noticed southernspitfire and Zella on board before I went to bed last night and then after I left, they and about a half a dozen other people showed up. Why is it you like to post while I'm in bed and not when I'm around? Come on, show consideration for others!

I'm not trying to sound rude or mean or anything, but why does it matter what time people post, anyway? The topic is going to be right where it is in the morning when you wake up.

Well, I can't post until my daughter goes to bed. She doesn't get into any trouble at all when I'm in the same room as her, but the second I go anywhere near the telephone or the computer it's crisis time. (Like all kids, I suspect).
On top of that, I've had the worst case of insomnia this past week, and all the experts say not to just lie there awake, get up and do something until you are sleepy.
As for everyone posting at all different hours of the day and night, that's why I like messageboards better than live chat. I'd never have gotten the chance to get to know FussBudget, Bobo, or anyone else not in North America because of the time difference.
Please don't take it personally, CrazyDon. We do like you, even if it doesn't seem that way. :-* :-* :-*

I guess I don't see the problem with people posting at night. I work at night 3 nights/week and then I am usually up late at night even when I am off. I have been up all night every night this week, that is the way that ss and I do when we are together. I am for one getting tired of the barbs and complaints of some members that we shouldn't post anytime day or night. I thought that was the whole idea of this board.

No not really. Right now it's 5:35am Eastern Time US and I'm still up. Damn, I hate it when I get these nights when I cannot sleep. Seems to be a once a month thing, must be my period time, LOL!

No problems here. If I get to post and people are around that's great...if not, I just find stuff to reply to. There are people all over the world, in different time zones and there are people close to my time zone who post at all hours....it's not a big deal to me.

I post. When I'm not posting, I'm either asleep, or busying myself somehow else. At times, if I was to write a song, for example, I'd take out 20 minutes, and take a break from posting for that time. Also, I might be talking, on MSN or whatever, and not be able to think of any sportsperson beginning with an X, or something...
