I just got the latest issue and read the results of thier readers poll.  As expected....the Beatles have 4 of the top 10!  I guess good taste is still alive ;) You can go to thier web-site at www.rollingstone.com to see the entire list.

The Strokes, Moby, Depeche Mode and ESPECIALLY Linkin Park should NOT be on there.

On the other hand, I'm not angry that Version 2.0 by Garbage is on there, I'm just extremely puzzled.

And yeah, we get that you like U2, all right?  You don't have to vote for EVERY SINGLE ALBUM.

The Pixies rule.

I have a hard time taking anything Rolling Stone magazine publishes at face value.. way too much U2 on there, especially their later albums (and the last one? come on).. these types of lists always add too many recent albums.. I was surprised/pleased to see a Smiths album in there, but most of the 80s was overlooked (except for Madonna, Prince and U2).. sorry, but there were a lot of groups that were far more interesting than that.. and more influential...
