A laser pointer is a helluva cat toy! ;D
My old (20) cat scrambles around after it til she drops from exhaustion. Heck of a lot easier than a ball of string, too. Gotta make sure you don't point at her eyes, though.

I loved the laser pointers when I was pregnant. I was in bed for the last three months. BUT, I could still have the cat run all over the room, up the walls, across the bed, etc. It was a god way to pass the time. :D
