You are correct...I am leaving to eat something and watch a movie as I've probably bored everyone enough for now :D

Personally. No. Even if it ain't the best time of my life, I'm certainly going through the most eventful, and downright weird period for years. And with the cool stuff on the board right now... I'm finding everything pretty cool.

I ain't even so sure boredom is a bad thing.  It's nasty up here in the north country though... it's near freezing for a high every day and this weekend is the "fall behind" weekend... a mixed blessing... you get that extra hour Sunday morning but it gets dark sooo early.

My life sucks at the moment right now.My workshop that I attend in the city stinks like anything else.I haven't had a real job in 8 years and very soon I'll be leaving that piece of crap! >:(And my Young Adult Recreational Program, the one that I attend on a Friday Night for recreation sucks just as much as my workshop does.I've been there almost 10 years already and very soon,by the end of this year, that will be the last time I will be assocating with people who are lower-functioning than I am.  :D -howard-

Boardom, who's got time?
I moved to Seattle in '89, I decided that from that point on if I were bored than it was only because I wanted it.  To much, to fast.

Things to do on the net when you're bored:

1- Play Mah Jong or solitaire.  Instead of reliving boredom, I think solitaire channels it.  Are you ever less bored during or after a game of solitaire than you were before?  I think Webby's Mah Jong is a little different than the tradition game though... I think it was originally played by fabulously rich hashish addicts with five inch long pinkie finger nails and stubby green teeth. The players would wear elaborately decorated silk gowns and tasseled fezes.  They smoked incessantly, thin thick turkish cigarettes.  The winners would celebrate with a trip to the local opium den and the loser was ceremonially put to death...

2- You can learn to play the ancient game Go.

3- You can google odd stuff and see what you find.  For instance, if you google "Joan Crawford nude" you'll find stills from the silent-era porn movie she was in.

4- You can scope out the free news stories and articles -- Every paper and magazine has a web site, and most have pretty much the same stuff on the web as they do in their real world product.  And it's all FREE!

5- You can be a provocative jerk on a message board.  I wouldn't suggest trying it here, but Yahoo has a zillion groups.  Groups for everyone's taste and prediliction.  If you're an NRA member, find an anti-gun group and give them the "pry-it-from-my-cold-dead-fingers" spiel.  You'd be amazed how interesting a vicious argument can be... especially with strangers... especially when you start it...

Talk about boring? I live in the most boring metropolitan city in the US. Don't believe the hype about Indianapolis being a mecca for cultural diversity. The only culture this town has is in some Petry dish. And even that is more exciting than the places that the Indy Chamber or Commerce is forcing down our throats. But I like it anyway, because it's the only major city that DOES sleep at night. ;)

Another suggestion - write an "I'm bored" parody, e.g.

"I'm so bored" to the tune of "I'm So Tired" by the Beatles
"I'm bored" to the tune of "I'm Down" also by the Beatles
"Bored in the USA" - except that you're not, of course

This board gets pretty boring at night, but after midnigiht, they all come out of the closet and when I wake up, it's changed a whole lot.  Come on, what's a bored guy to do when no one shows up to post when I'm around but when I leave, you all start posting like crazy?

Do not despair, Alicia. I too had my depressing and hatred moments during the teenage years. It's more common than you know. The good news here is that it doesn't last forever. It's a puberty thing.  ;)

I've also been slumping in my two leagues.  My average dropped in my Tuesday night league by nearly 4 points to a 187 in the last 2 weeks, and I dropped on my Sunday night league over the last 2 weeks from a 184 to a 180.  Seemed to finally get out of it tonight, though.  55 pins over average 595 series, and broke 200 5 out of 10 games overall.  Felt good to be hitting them hard again.

But look at these scores:
Our team bowls  2 games:
This is how I  bowled so far from the past month already:
100 110
145 140
90 72
61 53
85 62
66 102
72 78

kinda stinks, doesn't it? I'm just having an uninterest in Bowling.  :( -howard-
