Subject: John and Yoko

Written By: Rice Cube on 11/02/02 at 10:31 p.m.

I was watching the VH-1 "Shocking Moments" special and they happened upon John and Yoko's music recording where they basically took their clothes off, hopped into a room and recorded whatever it was that John and Yoko does while naked in a room.  For whatever reason I started to think about how Yoko (allegedly, though I think it's true) precipitated the breakup of the Beatles, and the cartoons that parodied this.

I can only think of two examples:  The one in Animaniacs when Pinky and the Brain were stuck on a desert island with a Beatles knock-off group and a Yoko lookalike stole the John away and broke up the group, thus thwarting Brain's plan to take over the world; and the one with the Power Puff Girls where Mojo Jojo and his three evil compatriots were the "Beat-Alls" and whupped the girls until a female monkey showed up and the group dissolved.

Any others?

On "The Simpsons" they parodied it with an episode about Homers band...the B-Sharps...they sang on Moe's roof.  There were definately references to Yucko in the episode.

Yoko must have had some really good.......OK, I love this board and I'm not going there for fear of getting kicked off  ;D but to this day I can't understand what John saw in her to make him give up what he did for her. I don't care what anyones opinion is, she was a major factor in the Beatles breakup.

I think it's sad that a man with all the creativity and love John had could suddenly fall morally out by ignoring the first born son he had while "Hooking-Up" with a double-bagger :P

I thought the George Michael thing at the public restroom in that state park was kind of funny...

Okay, feel free to get back onto the topic now..

I don't think I'm allowed to have a life until I get a job and get me some $$$.

Well, R&RF, the fact is that John Lennon had the capacity in him to be a major league , and ironically, it was his love for Yoko that helped him become a better and more spiritual person, despite the horrible child neglect.
