Subject: More Sig Space?

I sure wish we could have the unlimited space in our sig lines for stuff.....like we have under our avatars...anybody else?

It'll probably slow down the loading...plus I don't know how big Chucky's server is, and if that makes a difference.  I wouldn't mind around 400 characters though :)

Most of the time I keep it under 200, but on September 11 I wanted to make my sig line four lines from Toby Keith's song "Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue" and I could barely get three lines of it in.  But most of the time I don't need that much space.

I was just wondering why there's so much unlimited space under the avatars area...that's all, Geez!

Naw.  I'm pretty happy with the way it is, too.  Sorry R&R

IMO there is plenty of room there now. I thought Chucky had requested less clutter in the sigs once before.

Thanks Hairspray...I'm not asking for enough to write a novel or post a billboard...just maybe 50 more characters because, for people who may not know...some urls are a little larger than others....that's all ;)

Perhaps a compromise...how about granting a 10 character ceiling for all URLs inside the image tags?

I think that we have enough space to put stuff in our sig lines. Too much space just leads to more clutter and some of the images in the sig lines make the whole screen too wide.

Ditto Goldie.IMHO some of these elaborate sig lines and avatars get a little annoying .

yeah, personally, I'm not a big fan of the images in sig lines either.. they make pages real slow for people on dial-ups.. and get a little obnoxious (especially when the images is twice as big as your message)..

I only ever tried an image in my sig line once. But it would be nice to have a little more space. Every time I change my upper sig line, I have to make sure it is short enough so I don't have to delete "Le Petit Prince." So some verses I would like to put in there, but I can't unless I remove the other, which I can't bring myself to do... :'(

50 more characters would be fine with me, too. I like putting the little smilies in my sig line, and the code for them is actually about 50 characters long.

I agree with Chucky.  I think the sig lines are fine the way they are.
