Okay...so it's a sister thread to the dislike one....what are some of the voices in Rock that make you, well, Rock? Here are a few of my all-time faves:
Mike Reno from Loverboy
Patty Smyth from Scandal
Ann & Nancy Wilson from Heart
Lou Gramm from Foreigner
Steve Perry from Journey
to name a few........

I liked Layne Staley from Alice in Chains (RIP)
and of course Eddie Vedder, I go for more the raw sound.
One beautiful voice I do love is Seal, saw him live in '94 and he does sing just as well on stage.

I agree....I'd also ask, who was the lead singer of Soundgarden...I liked his voice too!

That would be Chris Cornell, who is now singing for Audioslave with the former members of Rage Against the Machine. And he sounds almost nothing like he used to in Soundgarden.

Simon LeBon of Duran Duran, IMO, has a very good voice. He just needs to stick with his genre of music, not try and do rap like "White Lines". ::)
Sting has a great voice. 8)
