Subject: Reunions

Written By: FunkyFresh on 12/27/02 at 01:26 p.m.

This topic has probably been brought up before, but since I have one right around the corner, please forgive me-

Did anyone here go to there 10th year High School Reunion, and if so, how was it?  Did you have fun or was it really lame?

I did - to me it wasn't worth it.  Most of the people I wanted to see didn't attend, and it was pretty lame for the price I paid - $75 per person over two nights - the first night was a "casual" get together with veggie trays & chips & dip for food.  The "formal" night the next night was a buffet style dinner.  I had a better time when I ditched that mess and went barhopping with some friends of mine that graduated the year before me.

But, to each their own.  :-/

My 10 year was pretty lame too.  Went to a really small High School.  None of the people I had really hoped to see were there.  It will be my 20 year in 2005.  I think I might try to attend though.  Perhaps it will be a bit more entertaining to see what 20 years will do to you.

I did my 10 year in '94 and it was good.  The 1st night was a casual get together at a local tavern.  The 2nd one was more formal and attended by many, saw some great people I hadn't seen in a long time.  The best thing was seeing how some matured, there was one woman that was ok in HS but was scorching hot by the time of the 10 year, attractive but much more confididance.  My graduating class was around 200 so plenty to see and you could remember most.

Must I be the first to say I've been to my 10th and 20th. ::) They were both pretty lame. Expensive too. Although it was a great people watching experience, especially the 20th.

I didn't even get invited to my 10 year.  I think it is because my parents moved soon after my graduation and I got married and changed my name.  I am registered on Classmates.com now so if I don't get invited to the next one I will be offended.

I did hear that it was pretty lame so I guess I didn't miss much.  :P

I do not have the urge to go to a reunion. Most of the people in my highschool which i was freinds with I still email with. Many have moved to different states and probably would not attend anyways. The other reason I would not go is I was friends with people who were in differnt grades, not just mine.
