Subject: Chocolate martini

Written By: Steve_H on 01/01/03 at 08:56 p.m.

The local paper had a year end "What's Hot/What's Not" article and a "chocolate martini" made the list (forgot under which category it fell).

What, exactly, is a chocolate martini?

That's what I thought, too.  But it's better than it sounds... honest.

There's a Martini bar here in Seattle called Tini-Bigs, it's been awhile since I've been down but they offer about 40 different Martinis icluding choclalte.  Really they are only referred to as Martini's cause they are served in a Martini glass.  True Martini's are Gin and Vernouth, most of the "specailty" ones are made with Vodka.
My favorite is a Vodka Martinin, no vermouth served "dirty", that's when a bit of olive juice is added to the mix.  And of course they are always made in shaker.

The Chocolate Martini is actually quite good, especially to chocolate lovers and choco-holics (totally addicted).  :D Like me!  8)
