Subject: A Poem

Written By: John_Seminal on 02/02/03 at 00:28 a.m.

While looking for info for the 2003 baseball season for my fantasy leauge, I came across this poem. I think it summarizes my childhood summers. God I love baseball!

----

Little boy, with a ball and bat, throws the ball in the air saying, "I am the greatest that the world has ever seen".

He swings and misses.

"I never knew I could pitch that good!"

Only a true baseball fan would get that, and I GOT IT!! ;D I, too, love the real "Americas Game", and when I hear some one say "Baseball is boring. I don't see how you can sit through this. Nothing is happening.", they not realizing that something is happening on every pitch, and that any one moment can change the game completely, and that its the only game not "on the clock" and could concievably go on into infinity, and.....................sorry, I'm rambling again. Guess you can tell that this has been a sore subject with me through 2 marriages. Anyway, good post John. ;)

Hey Dagwood,

Harry Carey is looking down on your avitar and is smiling. I can imagine his broadcast, if you were ever at Wrigley Field:

"Hey Stonie, check out that beautiful bombshell getting some sun. Do you think she knows Dunstons name spelled backwards is SnotsNod? This girl has a nice tan. I bet her kids are well fed". (Last sentance said as the camera zooms on the breasts, thanks to Ernie).

BTW, for all the Cubs fans who get WGN or FSN, I read Steve Stone is comming back next year to call games with Chip Carrey.
