Subject: Psychic Penguins' Network

Written By: MystiCofSingcratia on 02/04/03 at 06:32 p.m.

With this thread, my "penguin" friends have a chance to discuss their various levels of psychic abilities.  You may disclose prophesies, make predictions, or you may discuss "psychic experiences," or strange, disturbing dreams you've had lately.  It will be my job to interpret your experiences, although I might warn you, I do not claim my responses will be even remotely accurate.  Please take note; those who are clearly not sincere in their entries will be blatantly ignored.

I will start with a story of my own; I was discussing this starting this thread with my sister (the Queen), via IM.  During the conversation, she responded with *pre-CISE-ly.* I was taken aback, since just last night, my choir conductor used that exact same response - immediately after which, she tried to remember where she'd quoted that from...  I had had NO conversation with "The Queen" about the rehearsal up to this point.  Some may attribute this to the intuitive family bond; however, I believe it is indicative of the extra-sensory perception inherent in our particular family.

Next prophesy?

(I still think you should tell the duck story or something)

I prophesy that the rest of my senior year shall be screwy, yet senior trip shall be quite....uh......exillerating!  ;D

I predict that the Queen's "exhilarating" trip will turn "screwy" (get it?) when her object of interest gets caught in the sack with someone else...

I also predict she still won't have learned to spell by the time she makes it to college...

Explanation: Queen was too lazy to get the dictionary.   She prophecies that Disney hotel has quite disturbing mirrors, which greatly distort the appearance of herself.   "BURN THEM! BURN THEM I SAY!"

...If you even get what I was suggesting...

I reckon that in the next year... well... stuff will happen. Important stuff, perfect stuff... so long as nothing else screws up... enough already has.

Not to break any walls in your glass house, but...

I suspect you will not be altogether pleased with the executive decisions your prime minister will be making this year.  Your country's militia will probably at least go on heightened alert.  Hmm...there also may be a minor terrorist threat or two in the works...not that I see anything remotely catastrophic, but then, we haven't gotten to far into the year yet...

On the other hand; you worried about school? Employment? Whichever it is, you'll get through it well enough; a couple of rough patches, but no biggie...

...And as for the "Queen..."

I'd try and stay away from fire for a while, if I were you...

...And to the rest of the world:

Beware of impending earthquakes and/or sea disasters...

Does de ja vu count? Cuz this whole Abiyoyo thing was really freaky.  It was like leftover childhood fears suddenly rushed back once I head that name, but I couldn't remember what it was, only that I used to be scared of it.   :-[
oh WHY did I mention Reading Rainbow in the first place? I'm going to have nightmares for the rest of my life.

Miss Cleo? What do u have to say about this?

CHEESE DANISH WHAT THE CR*P!

Ok anyone good with psychology? I think I'm going to be disturbed for the rest of my life cuz u see, when I was little I guess there was this story on Reading Rainbow about Abiyoyo the giant.  As the easily frightened little child I was, it scared the **** out of me when I saw it.  And everytime someone sang the song or even just said "Abiyoyo" I would like cry I think.  (My memory is very vague)
Well of course I'm much older now and could name you EVERY OTHER THING I was scared of when I was little.  However we won't go into that right now.  But the whole "Abiyoyo" thing was blocked from my memory.  Anyway the other day my mom and I were discussing Reading Rainbow and she just said something about Abiyoyo and I was like freakin' out! And the fact that I hadn't even heard of it in FOREVER was even more creepy.  It's still givin me chills when I think about it.
Is it possible that I didn't fully outgrow my fear of "Abiyoyo" when I was little and everything left just all rushed back to me when I heard it again?  (does that question even make sense?)

It is quite possible, Queen, that one time when you were a kid, you either heard the song or the story that something tramadic happened that your sub-conscience relives even thought you can't remember. As a kid, the smallest thing could be tramadic. It could have been that you heard the song and was scared by it, and then your parents turned off the lights to go to bed and you felt very scared. Or it could be something even worse-that is why your mind blocked it out. I think if you could remember what it was, it your fear may go away.  (You will get my bill at the end of the month. lol)

No, it was never my parents. But my older siblings would always try to torture me with stuff they knew I was scared of.  According to "wombert", my brother would sing the song and say that Abiyoyo was coming. And I have a very faint memory of all 3 of my older siblings keep saying the name over and over and I would cry or something.  But other than that I don't remember.   :-/

That could be it. Have you ever asked them what they did to you as they were saying it?

Well the night my mom first mentioned it, I called both of my sisters, but they only remembered a little bit of the story and the song.  Barely remembered me being scared of it and what all they did.  My brother doesn't remember it at all.....and he's the one that did it the most!

It is truely amazing how people don't remember torturing another (especially when it is a sibling).
