Mullets are terrible, but I think it's even worse when someone has a permed mullet ( a la Gary Carter).

the mullet is pretty bad. especially curly mullets. or a mullet like this guy (i think it's a guy..) at my school, where the back part comes down to his/her elbows! ew.
of course, the mushroom cut looks pretty bad when the top part's too long...my brother had his hair cut like that for several years. :) it's like a reverse mullet. :D

How about the Comb Over? I dated a guy in college that had a younger version of the combover. His hairline was receding, so he had bangs that started about 2-3 inches away from his forehead. You couldn't tell until you saw him with wet hair or in the morning when he woke up. He used more hairspray than I did ;D

there's this guy at our k-mart with the best comb over ever. the man obviously tries to get it to work, but alas: the hair he's trying to "comb over" just swirls around the top of his head so from the back, it looks like - you guessed it - a bulls-eye target. :D

ok, for guys it was the 80's perm (think Richard Simmons). Who told guys that looked good??? Yecch. Poor guys.
For gals it is the trailer park blonde. I know you all know what I am talking about. Bleach blonde unhealthy straw hair with about an inch and a half of black or brown roots. And these women think this looks good! Double yechh.

As to comb overs... My best friend went out with a guy who had a sort of double comb over.He had long hair and it went across the top from left to right and then sort of folded over and went back to the left again !?! the hairspray holding that thing in place you would not believe!

I've seen a hairstyle I call the Stuff-it-all-in. It's where you get your hair (all of it) and put it ALL in ONE bobble. Then you stuff that in another bobble...and so on. I found my hubby and he always has the stuff-it-all-in. I've told him to stop it, but he wont listen...he MUST get his hair cut...

So many to choose from. You have the big hair from the 80s (think of all those hair bands) mohawk and those 5 spiked hair styles. I always joke about having my hair in those 5 spikes and dying each one a different color. This woman I used to work with, looked at me :-/ and said, "If that is what you want." I looked at her and said, "IT'S A JOKE! I AM JOKING" Some people just don't get it.

I say bring back the mullet cuz NOTHING looks worse than the "Backstreet" hair as I call it. Comb it down towards the front all the way from the crown of the head...and then plaster enough gel on it to hold it that way. YUK! WHY would anyone want to look like that? And they say 80's hair was bad?! ?

Mullets were not that bad. I like mullets and I'm not afraid to admit it. I also liked big hair on guys and gals. I like natural hair too, without all of the hair products. Thankfully, I still know people who have each of the aforementioned hairstyles and wear them proudly. It's fun to have a diversity of hairdoos! :D

Okay, unfortunately, my husband had exactly this haircut until a few weeks ago. And I hated, hated, hated it!!! :(
Couldn't quite convince him of how stupid it really looked though. Don't know what made him decide to finally get rid of it but boy am I glad. And he's had some really nice compliments since cutting all that mess off the back. So this would have to qualify as my vote for worst hairdo. :)

For guys:
What about the dopey, soupbowl-on-top, shaved-on-bottom? Some kind of "monk" haircut? That was so '90s. And also so 1066 Normandy. YIKES!
It started w/the idiotic shaving-lines-in-the-hair in the '80s but got to the worst w/the mop-top, ear-level shave.
Also hate the completely sloppy (ooooo, big surprise from the '90s) dregs-of-society look that seems to be gaining even more now. Like that dumb commercial where these hideous "college" boys party in soap suds in the laundromat w/their almost-as-unattractive girls. Those boys look God-awful. They're emulating the '70s again, but it's much messier and dirtier looking.
For girls: I know I'm going to end up hating the *static split-ends* look that's getting big now. It's thankfully different from the oh-so-boring plain straight hair of the last 10 years, but I still think I'm going to hate it because it just looks silly.

Then in the early 80's I had the Farah Fawcett do until I got sick of spending 3 hours in the morning before school trying to get the perfect "feathers". ::)
