Subject: New alias - please vote!
My roommate (who is also a DJ) were talking last night about our DJ aliases. He has three; one for each era of music he plays:
70's - DJ Huggy Bear
80's - DJ Care Bear
recent music/hip hop - DJ Poopy Pants
If you live near me and go out you may know who I'm talking about. ;D
Anywho, it came up that I should ad an alias to my list. I use Midas for mainly everything, but sometimes my first name and middle initial. We came up with two options for the current/hip hop, as a sort of "rebirth" in my brand new life:
DJ Soul Cracker
DJ Vanilla Biscuit
Please help me decide which corny name to use. I may use the new name in lurker mode (not that I do that much).

Well, I'm not sure. Soul Cracker reminds me of Uncle Cracker, but Vanilla Biscuit makes me think of Vanilla Ice or a beat-down white horse. How about Soul Stallion?

Why not do a name of a song or a book? I can see you as a potential "Loop Of Fury," but you can go with something completely different. That's the cool thing about starting over, you don't necessarily have to choose anything that might be connected directly to you :)

I don't know how much my opinion counts (I'm a mobile DJ, not a club DJ) but I honestly don't like either of them. You should be DJ Quislet.
I don't know what it means either. I just like it. That's my two cents, for what it's worth. :)

Soul reminds me of R&B, but I don't like cracker for some reason. Vanilla reminds me of Vanilla Ice, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I don't like biscuit - Reminds me of what we call stupid people around here - "Biscuit Head".
I've sat here for a few minutes pondering and saying both of them out loud, my vote is neither. But if you held a gun to my head I would say...Soul Cracker.
How about Vanilla Soul? Don't do Soul Vanilla though, it would sound too much like Salmonilla (poisoning).
I like Midas. Don't change.

From the options I go with DJ Soul Cracker, but maybe something to consider would be DJ Dijon. Give you that sophisticated french style mustard appeal. ;)
