Written By: Gecko on 03/23/03 at 11:43 p.m.

I am soooooooo excited - one more sleep until the Bruce Springsteen concert in Brisbane.  I have been waiting for this for ever :)

Have any Aussies here been to either the Sydney or Melbourne show - and how good was it?

HE IS THE BOSS ;)

I wonder if Born in the USA sounds different in other countries.

It's 1am and I just got home from his concert.  It was absolutely brilliant.  It was worth the wait and worth every cent.  I will be playing all my Bruce Springsteen CD's for at least a month :)

He sounds wonderful live and has so much energy.  I am so glad I went.

Sounds fun... I'd like to see him in concert sometime, too.

Ohhhman I am so jealous Gecko.

I tried to buy tiks when they went on sale - I was prepared to fly anywhere east seeing as how he wasnt coming east.  But they sold out so bloody fast :(

Wanna hear my sad sad Bruce story - yes its sadder than above !!

Way back when - in the olden days - when Dancin In The Dark was on the radio 39 times a day.  I bought front row tiks to Bruce.

I had to buy them something like 8 months in advance.

Well by the time the concert date came around I was sooooooooooo sick of Dancin that I would have dragged him off the stage and punched him if he sung it - so I sold the tik to my little bro that morning ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I have regretted it ever since !  And the same year I did the very same thing with my Dire Straits tiks for the very same reason - too much radio play that year made me sick of them.

Well at least my bro has fond memories !!

After watching THE BOSS the other night and loving every minute of it, I have to say that this is the saddest story I have ever heard! :'(  Oh, and to make you feel worse, he finished the show with Dancing In The Dark and it rocked!! :)

Just to make you feel bad BrianMannixGirl, I have to tell you this - because they changed the venue from an outdoor concert at ANZ Stadium, to an indoor show at the Entertainment Centre, they put two shows on instead of only one.  The second show wasn't a sellout, and they had tickets available to it on the day of the concert.  Does hearing this make you want to cry?

No - being mean would be letting her know that I'm pretty sure Triple M were selling tickets for the second show (on the day of the concert) for only $50!

whats even worse is she didn't tell me they were selling tickets to the second show on the night it was on for only $50 until about 630 that night.  I would have gone and she wanted to go again

Arghhhhh - seriously ???  I hadnt heard they had changed the venue, let alone put on a second gig.  I swear - nothing was even in the paper over here about the gigs till one review after the Melb one I think.  This is why I end up reading all the east coast news online !

Did you take any photos Gec???  What were your seats like ??
