Hey all,

I don't know where to post this as it covers all decades...and seeings how others post about internet radio shows in here I thought it okay to post this in the ol' PPP....

A friend of mine hosts a ProgRock internet radio show on Sunday nights from 7 - 11 Pacific and he has asked me to co-host with him on an upcoming night. By doing so I have to choose a bunch of music I'd like to play. He is willing to let me have a few 80s hair band songs but would like me to stick to as much progressive rock as I can...which leads me to the point of this thread...I need ideas!! I was never much into ProgRock as I like the straight-forward, no bullsh!t, kick-@$$ rock n roll bands...but there is some progrock I do like...if you have ANY suggestions please let me know...

I will post date/time/website/etc...as soon as I know all the details.

Thanks SO much!!

Marillion - Script for a jesters tear,or  Misplaced childhood will give you some classics.
Pallas - The Sentinal
Saga - Heads or tails and Worlds apart were the only albums I had
Rush
Barclay James Harvest - Concert for the people was the only thing I had by them.
Camel - Stationary Traveller again the only album I had by them.
Yes.
Sorry it's not very helpful but apart from Marillion who I loved, I only liked odd songs here and there.

Thanks for the input so far guys! Last night I did some research after I posted here and I got some songs by Rush, Dream Theatre, Toy Matinee, Primus and I actually found 21st Century Schizoid Man by King Crimson rather than April Wine!

Keep the suggestions coming!

Gabble, the idea was for you to post your fave prog songs for me. You don't need to give me a whole whack...just one's you think I should seriously look at. Thnx!!

The show will be this Sunday, April 27th from 7-11 PM pacific time. You can access the show at http://www.thedividingline.com and click on 'schedule' and then choose "ProgRoots" from the menu.

You MUST have RealPlayer to hear the show and if you don't then you can d/l it off the site quickly.

There's also a chatroom so join the fun!! I believe we'll be taking requests as well ;D

Hope to see you there!
