A truly excellent night!
They started out with the CD cut of Disintegrate while the curtains were pulled free, and the lights all around the stage were flashing and moving in all directions. Those were the only lights going at the time, no spotlights or anything. You could just make out the guys on stage moving around, hopping themselves up, and when the CD track ended, the full lights came on with the spotlight on Phil, who was immediately launching into the opening riff of Let It Go. And that was just the beginning! My throat's still sore from the yelling, and my hearing is finally clearing up. ;D
Great point of the night was their playing of Bringin' On The Heartbreak which, when it was finished focused on Sav launching into the opening of Switch 625. I've never seen them do that one live. Excellent guitar work by Phil and Viv in that one, it really sounded like Steve up there.
Afterwards, I went into full stalker mode with my son, and waited for 1 1/2 hours near the tour buses for the band to come out, hoping Chris could meet them and get his shirt signed. They finally came out, but got loaded into a van immediately, and only had time to wave to everybody. SO, no meet & greet for the Roberts' this time. Maybe next time. If you have the chance to see them in your area, take it!!!
