My first year volunteering on a high school robot team found me in the role of "the adult in charge of the students in charge of information". I really had no idea what I was supposed to be doing so when I joined the robotics forum I chose the handle MissInformation sort of tongue in cheek. When I joined this site, it was just easier to keep this name rather than one of my other forum names.

i wanted to be Shazzer after the character in Bridgette Jones Diary that cursed so much, and some of my friends call me Shazzer, but I couldn't register it. So I played with the name and came up with Shazzaah. Now everyone calls me Shaz so I just shortened it. :)

Well, I wasn't happy with "Anti Pop Superstar" so I decided to shorten it to "APS".
Not to mention I actually like pop music from the 1970's, 1980's, and 1990's.
Just not the current MTV trash that came out since 1997.
My other alias "Pop Life" was actually what I wanted to be called, but I screwed up (adding my false E mail) when I registered after accidently pressing the "Delete User" button.
So, now it's my lurking alias' name.

As for mine, there was a game called The Bards Tale that came out in 85 or 86 my friends and I used to hotseat that game, well my character was a mage and there was a spell called arcfire (like magic missle from DnD fame) that grew with the level of the character, I kept useing that spell, hence my friends called me Arcfire ;D I have had this handle for almost 17 years now ;D

Thanks! You would not BELIEVE how many people mispronounce my name, though....phonetically it would be Ban-nis. I get "Mrs. Bananas" by telemarketers...if they can't pronounce my name, they have no chance at all of selling me anything! ::)
Although I am a little off the wall at times, so I guess being called bananas is apt. ;D

Oh, gosh...such a long explaination for such a short name....
When I first came here I was "Kat"m which is my real name (short for Kathleen).
After realizing I got through one of the worst periods of my life by believing I was an Amazon, ( and therefore acting like one) I added "Xena" to my name. I also like the series of the same name and in the show's mythos, Xena herself edured injury, pain, and betrayal by someone she thought loved her.
I added the number 13 in part because there was another Xenakat out there on the web somewhere, and partly to ward off any potential bad luck.
And that is how I came up with XenaKat13

I got mine by mixing two names together. My friend and I, when we were younger, wanted to open a buisness together and we were going to called it Kenlos Enterprise. The Kenlos came from putting our to names together, using the frist part of my name and the last part of his name. Kenneth and Carlos. I always thought it sounded cool so I used it.

1) my dad was making up a schedule for a hypothetical band called "four coffee" for something, and we made up other bands for competion...such as "odd socks."
2) i don't bother to match my socks. therefore, they are odd. :D

If you ever came to my house, you will understand. I am a catlover and have a collection of cats from all over the world-cermanic cats, wooden cats, brass cats, etc. (not to mention the three live ones). I also have many feline qualities myself. I was first called Catwoman back in the 80s (I can't remember who started that). After I came on-line, I found out that there were MANY "Catwoman"'s out there so I added the "ofV" which stands for Venus. Sometimes I do use CatwomanofVenus. (The "V" could stand for something else too which I am sure that most of you know already by now.)

It is based on the character from Peanuts, Lucy, who is Linus' big sister.
Lucy described herself in one strip as a "FussBudget" as she was always complaining.
Van Pelt is Lucy and Linus' surname.
I developed the name out of desperation when I was trying to register for Napster, and found that about 180 people supposedly already had my name (which still to this day seems rather unlikely !)
So I thought, bugger this, I will come up with a name that no-one else has, and it worked !

I got online for one reason, and one reason only. I wanted to play the game X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter against other people. I'd been playing space combat sim games for years, and my pilot name was always Thunder. So when I got online and went to sign up at MSN Game Zone to play, I found someone already had the name "Thunder" (duh). SO, I went to my alternate name, which was "Vampire" (big vampire fan). And of course THAT was taken too! So I decided to put them together into one, and came up with "ThunderVamp". And would you believe THAT was taken as well? At that point I gave up and threw a "9" onto the end for the hell of it. And hey, it was available! And I've used it ever since.

Back in the early 90s when "In Living Color" was still hot stuff, ILC had a skit with Steve Park as a Korean grocery boy and then he suddenly busts into rap about "MSG" (yeah you know me!) as the rapper "Rice Cube". So you could say I stole the name ;) When I worked at a sporting goods store one of our many conversations were about rapper names, and of course I suggested "Rice Cube" for myself and it brought the house down (I'm Asian, y'see). When Watt and I started submitting parodies on amiright, the name sorta stuck.

It was the first thing that came to mind for me. Actually, I couldn't think of a really good name so I decided to use the ellipsis mark. Of course, if I ever have to register I probably can't use it. :)

Well, I just decided to name myself after one of my toys that I played with in the 80s. I played with Strawberry Shortcake dolls frequently, and Blueberry Muffin was my favorite out of the ones that I had. Anyway, I tried signing myself under that name, but it was alread taken (?---I've never encountered BlueberryMuffin76 on here) so I just used "bloo" as a substitute for "blue". As for the "76", that's the year I was born in (I'm getting old!).

Well, Saider Eiegle is the main character in one of my screenplays.
Saider is the name I gave my first dog, which I know is wierd being nicknamed after a dog but I like it. And Eiegle is from a whole bunch a words i typed sporadically on the computer.

I liked the nickname "Mad Dog" from a character in a little known 80s UK TV show called "Scully", written by Alan Bleasdale of "Boys From The Black Stuff" fame.
The 167 was supposed to make me a UNIQUE maddog among the millions of maddog's on message boards everywhere but I sort of wish I hadn't bothered now. 167 relates to 16th July 1978 which was the date I first met my teenage hero Joan Jett. In Europe we do the dd/mm thing the other way round from the USA.

This might sound to you a bit odd...
One time a few months back I was trying to log in to a Mac computer with my username, but the keyboard took forever to respond. Here's the story: the thing was in power saving (off) mode, so I hit the spacebar to wake it up, so it came on. So then I proceeded to type my username (which does begin with an n), but it didn't respond right away, so I hit the n two more times, followed by two random letters (out of frustration), and what came up five seconds later was nnnag. :D
I did erase that afterwards and type my correct username and password.

Until reading that explanation I'd always misread your name. I thought it was pennysgirl as in a girl belonging to Penny. I could decide if Penny was your mum, who also posted here, or your partner. Sorry!

Here's the story about the name I use: One time back in January, on the Game Show Network series "Lingo" (which I like to watch; I don't know how many of you out there have digital cable), some guy had spelled "Nally: N-A-L-L-Y" and lost his turn, because "nally" is not a real word. At the time I thought that was kindof funny, so I decided to adopt it as my posting name (guest).
I wasn't always nally, however. In mid-March I started to get tired of that so I tried to think of a different name to use. Then, in mid-May, the lurker mode was turned off, so I tried to figure out a good posting name for registering, but I couldn't figure out one that I could stick with, so I never registered. Especially for making comments on parodies; in fact I didn't make any comments during June or July cuz I wanted to have a good posting name. But when the "Win tuition" parody of Jewel's "Intuition" entered the site in early August, I had to comment on it as "the poster formerly known as nally"; I used that jargon in September as well. So in October, I decided to go back to nally.
Now that "guests" can post again, I'll keep nally until I think of a new name that I can stick with.
And in case you ever cared to wonder, my real name is Jeff.

Mine is obvious to any Duranies. I was always trying to think of a really great name I could use as an alias for anything online. Before I got into Duran I would log onto places as Bizkitgirl28 :P or something like that cuz I used to love Limp Bizkit. I was looking for something that could pass as a name though.
Once I got into Duran Duran, I realized one of my favorite songs is Rio, which is the name of a girl in the song, as everyone knows. SO I decided to use rio as a kind of first name and since I am still crazy about Nick Rhodes, I also took the last name of Rhodes, for kinda the same reason Nick took it too....
It's just more aesthetically pleasing!!!!!!!!!!!
So I am not just delusional about being the girl in the song or being married to Nick, even though that would be pretty sweet!!

erm...it's hard to say, I just made it up and thought 'Good Name, I'm sticking to it' cos it was catchy. Well there is a kind of story behind it...
I was thinking of a good girls name. I thought if I chose a normal name it would sound boring. So I was thinking of 'Lixa' which I usually use in other places, but I thought it sounded too...well...normal and boring. So I was looking at something that was ripped. I thought 'Hmm....Rip! Erm, no...it sounds so boring.' So I thought about RipMaster....Nah didnt sound right. Or how about RipGirl...but that sounded boring too. I thought 'Hmmm...Ripped....get rid of the ed...Ripp! It sounds catchy!' and I tried it and it worked! I quite liked - *hears feet heading in the door direction* - Hey, wait up, come back! There was only one word more! You've missed it now! Aw damn...back to talking to my fluffy teddy named 'Rippi'...

Well, my name means "I am a pizza" in French. Now your asking where did I get that sentence from?
In my Gr. 4 French class, we has to sing about a pizza and my name was the opening line. The song went on to list all the ingredients on the pizza. The song ended with the pizza falling on the floor. It was such a stupid song, but I'll always remember it.
