I think theres a difference between constantly putting yourself down and making fun of yourself.......one is a lack of confidence, the other is being able to make a joke about yourself.....

one tecnique used by commedians (including myself) is if you want to make fun of a certain group of people (ie fat people, blacks..etc) make sure youre one of them, and then make fun of yourself.....Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are constantly making fun of blacks (and they are allowed too...I cant because I am white)......im allowed to make Italian and catholic jokes because I am an Italian catholic.....where am I going with this, I dont know?

anyway, girls always laugh when I say something making fun of myself (granted I dont do it often, but I have done it).....I dont know...I think telling them Im a comedy writer is a bigger turn off  ::)

It goes with my Gemini theory that they have an excellent sense of what is good in life. Geminis are more out of control, though.
