the Internet was invented in the late 1960s.. the web was invented in 1993. I was using the web in 1994, with Lynx.. and I was a huge fan of Gopher before that.. and BBS's, which used to be what I ran before the web became popular. I did that for about 5 years before starting a website..

but most of that is probably as good as Greek to.. suffice it to say, I've been doing this stuff too long...

Thanks for that, Chucky - what got reported over here was a lot of arguing about whether Al Gore actually *had* "invented" the internet, nothing to do with exactly what he said.  But then, who believes everything they read in the press?
