dont feel bad, Jessica...happons to me all the time.  I usually know its coming because its almost at the same time every day, so I dont even bother picking up.  Just *69 them if you have to...

Hey, that's their loss, man. Besides, She can inform those she cares to inform that she will be screening calls. If they want to talk with her, they're gonna have to be patient through the opening message and then say "Hey, It's me, ________."

If the call is of some importance, people will leave messages.

Another thing to keep in mind, is that some telemarketing firms have computerized callers that hang-up at the answering machine. AND that's all good because that's less of a pest she has to deal with.  ;)  Hang-ups? No problem. Ignore them all.

I had this happen to me.  I figured it was telemarketers and the computer didn't quite connect the call right.  I ended up getting a feature called Security Screen.  For $2 a month it put a block on my phone that said that this number did not accept 'unavailable' calls.  If they wanted the number displayed on caller ID then the call would go through.  I still got a couple of telemarketer calls, but no where near as many.  It is amazing how many of them don't want their number displayed.

You ain't kiddin'!! We get anywhere from 1 to 20 "unavailable" calls everyday...some call every 10 minutes for an hour. ::)
