Subject: Songs that have the same title as others

Written By: Stompgal on 07/03/03 at 07:23 a.m.

There are bound to be songs out there which are different, but their titles are the same. I'll give a few examples:
Stronger - Britney Spears, Sugababes
Lately - Samantha Mumba, Lisa Scott-Lee
Hey Baby - DJ Otzi, No Doubt

Power of Love - Jennifer Rush, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Robert Palmer

That's the first one that springs to mind.

Here's a few from my MP3 collection..

1984 - Van Halen, New Model Army
All around the world - The Jam, Paul Simon
America - Simon & Garfunkel, Cast of West side story
Bad boys - Whitesnake, Wham
Best I can - Rush, Queensryche
Blind faith - The Levellers, Warrant
Childhood's end - Iron maiden, Marillion
Delilah - Tom Jones, Queen
Escape - Metallica, Rupert Holmes
Girl - The Beatles, Tori Amos
In the end - Green day, Rush
In the flesh - Pink Floyd, Blondie

If we can start a competition for the 'most used title'...

Hey you - BTO, Pink Floyd, No doubt
Mother - Tori Amos, PWEI, Pink Floyd
Runaway - Del Shannon, Bon Jovi, Hazel O'Connor
Under the gun - Kiss, Doro, Blondie
Valentine - Belinda Carlisle, T'Pau, sisters of mercy

3 different songs with the same title! - Can anyone beat that?

Yeah it was called '1984 (Sex crime)'.

As for 'Dreams' by Gabrielle and Fleetwood Mac, they are different songs. I do know that Corrs covered Fleetwood Mac's version.
