Subject: Why

Written By: Q.Aviator on 08/13/03 at 03:19 p.m.

This humidity. It's annoying.  I want winter back. And I want it back now  :'(

BTW people, you don't have to answer me back. It's just something I had to say.

My theory is, when it is cold, you can always put on another sweater or another blanket but when it is hot, there is only so much you can take off. I don't do well in heat-especially when it is very humid. I noticed that today a lot of people were very testy. I think it is the heat and humidity. I was just too tired to be testy myself. Why was I so tired? Because it was too hot to sleep last night!  >:(

The down side of winter is the lack of sunlight. I like summer more. More plants, more green, more hours of sunlight, more people who go out.

From where I am, there is usually hardly any sun.  I hardly get to go to the pool now. :(

Man,this has been the worst summer this year.going into June, temps were in the upper 60's-70's with mostly rain and cool weather,July-very steamy temps were in the low 80's,August-disgustingly hot with temps in the upper 80's with rain showers and thunderstorms. Not once this summer did we get into the 100's.That's New York for ya. ;D

The weather here is on-and-off.  It's usually warm/hot, but there have been a share of chilly days too.

and in Winter you'd all be yelling, "I wish it was summer!"

I like summer better...for one, Id rather sweat than freeze, and no school!  And Ive found it true that Im always cold in winter, no matter what I do, and half my house isnt even heated, and in summer, I can use box fans, or AC units...so I like the warm weather better....and when you sweat, you lose weight, so thats good...

There's not more green in summer, if anything there's less, summer kills all the grass!

Yeah, I like it being pleasantly warm, but pleasantly warm doesn't reach up to 95 degrees...

Mind you... thanks to the last couple of years of hot weather, my pain threshold has become greater... which I guess is cool.

Heat doesn't bother me.  Humidity is what kills me. (and makes my hair frizz >:()

Yep, humidity is the real culprit. I would rather have a day which is 95 degrees with no humidity than a 85 degree day with high humidity.

Can someone pass the sunscreen?  ;D

Modified to add: Hair is a relative thing. If everyone has bad hair due to humidity, then do you really have bad hair? Plus, it could be a sexy thing if done right....  ;)

I prefer cold weather when it is 90 degrees in August and I prefer warm weather when it is 10 below in December.

But if I had to choose, I would say hot weather.  When I think about this question, I ask myself: would I rather walk a mile being frozen cold or being hot?  I have done both and I would say hot, definitely (although the heat has made me dizzy before).

If I could have my way :D, I wish it could be 55-75 degrees all the time.  And I know that some of you probably get that weather too, you lucky ducks. :P ;D

I do love the snow though, just as long as I'm not outside shoveling it (and just as long as I know a loved one isn't driving in it :-/).

That is pretty much how I feel about it to. I like nights to be cool-40s-50s. I can't sleep when it is hot.

My hair is naturally curly so whenever the humidity is up, I look like one of those "Bad Hair" episodes on a talk show, no matter what I do.

Mine is naturally wavy-not exactly curly but it does freak out in the humidity.

Well the weather is extremely unpredictable in England. This Summer it has been very hot - and it's fantastic. I hate our Winters. I like it when it's in the low-mid 20s, that's perfect 'flip-flop' weather for me :)

Oh, I hate humidity too - my hair also goes crazy. I naturally have loose curls, but I tend to straighten it when it's humid beacuse it's much more managable.

I can't blame my crazy hair on the weather, it ALWAYS looks like that.  I don't really mind it though, for some reason people tell me it looks good, and I just call it rock n roll hair, because of Good Times Roll, you know where they say "let them brush your rock n roll hair!"  That song is awesome!   :)

When Our Family goes on vacation to Alaska in a few weeks,Jenau will be a comfy 55-60 degrees. That's compared to the muck were having now in New York.
