Subject: Your Least Favorite Song Ever

Written By: lebeiw15 on 08/16/03 at 08:28 p.m.

Mine is "What I Am" by Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians, with "I Wanna Be A Cowboy" by Boys Don't Cry coming in at a close second.

Mine is probably "Two Of Hearts" by Stacey Q.  I absolutely can't stand that song!  >:(

I know I'm gonna hear a lot of flack for this, but I would say "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana is my second least favorite.

songs I hate...

most anything rap

>:( that really really bad song by that chick from Destiny's child with that rap part in it, something about rain is the title, anyway, I cannot stand this song, and its like a big hit, and I dont know why.

teen-pop songs

new punk songs

anything released by Linkin Park

a lot of new rock songs as well...too many to name, but out of all of today's music, rock seems to be the best genre...

Avril "I'm With You", Paula Cole "I Don't Want To Wait", and Good Charlotte "The Anthem".

edited because I decided one song was bad, but not to be grouped with these sickeningly-horrible songs. ;)

"Least favorite" is a fave that is at the bottom of the list, right? ;D

My least fave is "How Do You Talk To An Angel" by Jamie Walters, one-hit wonder of the 90's.

The tune is in my favorites list because it has charm and brings back very good early 90's memories. What places it at the bottom of my faves list is that the song is what I call "sugary-sweet" to the point of tooth decay. ;D I have to be feeling pretty nostalgic to play it. 8)

It would be really hard to pick one song to hate the most when there are sooo many.  But I think the thing I hate more than anything is avril lavange.  She's a preppie and a rock poser, and her music totally sucks!

I have that song on a 90's compilation, and I believe it said it was by The Heights.  I know there was a TV show with that title, so I assume it was the cast performing that tune.  Who is Jamie Walters?

I don't know why I hate it - I just do.  I like everything else that the Eagles have done but that particular song just grates.  I wonder what it is that makes you hate a song.  Some of the songs mentioned in these posts I like and others such as the Cheeky song and Walking on Sunshine are songs that I don't like.  My sister and I shared a house with a guy who ran screaming from the room if the song Three Times a Lady came on.  What a dull old world it would be if everybody liked the same things. :)

Cheers.

It's a toss-up 'twixt several...all horrendously overplayed and/or overrated...and strangely enough, all incredibly middle-of-the-road...

Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You
Macca & Wings - Mull Of Kintyre
Chris De Burgh - Lady In Red
Boris Gardiner - I Want To Wake Up With You
Atlantic Starr - Always...heh! Sorry, Karen...!

Jamie Walters

Born  Jun 13, 1969 in Boston, MA

Although best known for his acting roles on TV and in movies (most notably his role of character Ray Pruit on Beverly Hills 90120), Jamie Walters is also a pop singer, having issued a pair of albums in the mid- to late '90s. Born on June 13, 1969, in Boston, MA, Walters first landed spots on TV commercials before getting work on programs (including Quantum Leap). It was for the brief TV show The Heights that Walters was asked to contribute a theme song, "How Do You Talk to an Angel?," which became a big pop hit in 1993 (it enjoyed a longer life than the TV show it was taken from, which was canceled shortly thereafter). Although Walters signed a recording contract with the Atlantic record label and issued a pair of full-length's — 1995's self-titled debut and 1997's Ride — the singer/actor was unable to match his early chart success. Still, he never gave up on his musical ambitions, and despite being dropped by his label and forced back into acting on a few occasions, he managed to write enough material to attempt a comeback. Teaming with Leisure Records, Walters recorded Believed in the spring of 2002 and released it that summer. :)
