Hi,Everyone!Just to let you know I'm back from vacation. Our family went to Juneau,Alaska and visited 4 stopsSeattle,WA,2ndwas Jenau,3rdwas Skagway,4thwas Ketchikan. The others were The Tracy Arms and Victoria,British Columbia Canada were we just toured the city.nothing to shake a leg about.Ok,here's my story:

-August 23rd Seattle,WA.temperature there ranged from the low 50's morning to the upper 60's afternoon with light, gusty winds and beautiful. The evening on the boat My Family went to this small restaurant on Deck 7.I had Shrimp Cocktail for the appetizer,Ribeye for the main course and Creme Broulet for dessert. That was basically the evening. We had to change our watches back for the 3 hour difference.

August 24th nothing doing here.56 degrees with light showers and drizzle.so cold compared to NYC.We entered the Queen Charlotte Sound.

August 25th Juneau,Alaska in the Chatham Strait. We had to set our watches again 1 hour back.50 degrees in the morning.upper 60's afternoon.Me and my Mother went panning for gold,We went to the Tramway and I saw Willie Tyler and Lester in the entertainment room.

August 26th Skagway,Alaska. We visited The Skagway Cemetery,The Klondike Mountains and The Shopping Mall.temperature was 45 degrees morning and about 61 in the afternoon.nice, cool and mild.all they had were gift shops and jewelry.nothing to get excited about.I bought a bear skin pillow.

August 27th saw the iced blue glaciers.here you needed a light jacket.it was cold at 45 and mild in the afternoon at 54 degrees.partly coludy with a gentle breeze.

August28th Ketchikan,Alaska. Here we shopped some more.oh boy! more shopping and more tourists. ::) ;D

August 29th Victoria,British Columbia,Canada.A mild 63 degrees.Here we window shopped but no big deal.almost the same as NYC.everywhere you go.(blah!) >:(

August 30th Back home from Seattle to NYC where the plane took off.took about 4 1/2 hours to get back to JFK and about 1 stupid hour for the cab.got home at about quarter to 10pm last night where we unpacked and went to sleep after cause we were all exausted arriving home. And what an exciting week that was.

Overall, the food was good, beds were uncomfortable, service was excellent and happy to come home to reality! That's my trip. Thanks for listening! ;D

Welcome back, howard! I'm glad you had a nice trip. :)

I like how you described the daily weather conditions too. Have you ever thought of being a weather man for one of your local stations in N.Y.? I think you have the potential. 8)

Thanks.I kept a diary after we took our sightseeing. My Father took the pictures as for me,I took the notes.Sorry,I didn't keep the gold in those little cups.I spilled it out the other night. It's those little specks of gold we found but no big deal.We had buffets almost every day.Breakfast was nice.eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, bagels, pastries and coffee is what we had every other morning on our plates. The other mornings we just had our breakfast in those big dining rooms where you could either sit with a few people or get your own table by yourself. It was your choice.Other than that, food was good and the toilet bowls were happy!  ;)

My Mother and I gambled but won absolutely nothing.
They also had stuff like"The Not So Newleywed Game",Price Is Right,Bingo,Weakest Link,etc...It was fun to watch.

They had a nightclub lounge but I thought at first I was gonna see girls.everybody was much, much older than I was.I didn't particually care for it so I left.No big deal.I had a good time anyhow.
