Written By: RockandRollFan on 09/10/03 at 08:04 p.m.

First my son's best friend dies from complications from a bone-marrow transplant on March 26....then my oldest son Richard loses his girlfriend to a car wreck on April 16....then my son Blaine is murdered on April 26th  :'( and then, of course 9/11 happens....worst year EVER...for me :-/

R&RF.  I am sorry for all you losses that year.  I wish you comfort and strength in your future.  You most certainly deserve it.

That was a horrible year.   :(>:(And so far, the 2000s in general have been horrible. Although I am sad my mom is gone, I'm glad she's in Heaven because she died before 2000. (Some Bible scholars believe that God reaps his harvest every 1,000 years until the Final Harvest, whenever that is.)

I'm sorry to hear about all the mishaps that have happend in your lifetime.  I am especially sorry to hear about your son.  At least you had a son.  I was too young and stupid to raise a child of my own, and I had an abortion.  So I hope you really loved, and cared for your son while he was alive.

Condolences on your losses, RockandRollFan.  Losing people you love is a very painful thing.

Losing my nan in 1991 seemed to be a life altering event, a lot of change (change I didn't want admittedly) occurred and life seemed sour.

I felt strange but I got a sixth sense in 2001 that something was wrong at home only to hear my grandad was in hospital. That is so wierd for me because I am very cynical about these type of things. He died about two nights later. I was in the pub, consoling myself after having an argument with a friend, that same friend came back to console me after I heard the news.
