Subject: Do you live in the same place where you were born?

Written By: CeramicsFanatic on 09/18/03 at 09:41 p.m.

I don't.  My family moved to another country when I was 8 months old, and on to several other countries in the years after.  I have not returned to the place where I was born.

Yes, we still live in England after many long years, however a part of my family can be traced in the not-too-distant past to France.

Used to...up until six years ago...the old place was getting too noisy!

As a rough guide, I've managed to crawl approximately 10 miles in 36 years...!

I live about 1600 miles (2574.95 Kilometers) from where I was born and grew up.  I have lived in four different states and one other country.  I was born in the US and live now in the US.  I have an uncle who will celebrate his 100th birthday in about two months who has lived at the same address for about 97 years on the same street where I grew up.

I currently live about 50 miles away from my childhood hometown but I still live in the North West of England.

The only periods when I didn't live in the NW of England were while I was at university in London or a brief spell working on an assignment in Poughkeepsie NY, USA, in the late 80s.

Nope.  I was born in Baltimore and lived there for 26 years of my life but I've now lived in Virginia for the past 5 years (and I'm not telling what happened to the other two years..)  My parents still live in Baltimore, which is only an hour away from where I live.

Yes I lived in the same city that I was born in for 22 years then I moved to another country for four years, and made some roots there so I thought I was going to be living there longer, but 14 months ago I found myself moving back to the city that I was born in. I still find it strange to be back.

No, although I did for the first 20 years of my life. I was born in Mission Hills, California (in the Los Angeles area) and lived in a mobile home in nearby Lake View Terrace. In November 2000, we finally got out of there, after years of trying to sell the place. Since February 2001, we have lived in Oxnard, CA, very close to the beach.

Live in the place where you're born,
Now face north.
Think about conception
Wonder why you haven't before.

Seriously, I escaped from Philadelphia back in 1981 at age 21.  I've been back to visit once.

After we left our mobile home, we didn't go back to visit it. Actually, we did pass by it two times on the freeway shortly after the new people moved into it, but that doesn't count as visiting.

I used to. For 18 loooooooooooooooong years I lived on Cape Cod, MA. And, as most everyone knows I moved to Nevada(Thankfully) 7 months ago.

Some might say, what was wrong with Cape Cod? I answer by saying, a lot. For instance, by the time I was 4 years old, I had already done everything there was to do. Thats sad.

Its not that I hate Cape Cod, its actually a great place to visit, just not to live.

I'd go back and visit, just not for much longer than a day or two!

I was born in Texas. I only lived there for the first 3 months of my life then we moved back to Florida and I have been here ever since. We've moved around from town to town. We finally moved to where I live now and I have been here for 13 years now. It's ok but not much happens here. I would love to move to New York. I have always wanted to since I was a little girl.  ;D :D
