hmmm....I mean, I dont consider Airplane and Death to Smoothcy and Dumb and Dumber stupid movies, but I love them.....

ok, a "bad" movie that I like would have to be Oscar....you know, with Slyvestor Stallone.....

My favourite 'bad' movie is 'See no evil, hear no evil' with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. I think it was because I went around to a friend's birthday party who happened to have rented it out about 13 years or so ago. He was black and it reminded me of my friendship with him, which in some ways we were very similar to the two characters in the film - except the deaf and blind parts.

My favourite 'stupid' movie is Caddyshack. I think a movie about a golfing club is a stupid idea and IMO it doesn't completely work but I like it. I can't even say I'm partial to Bill Murray at this point because I didn't think he had a great part in it. I don't know what it is I like about it.

Now that's rediculously stupid.  :D

History of the World Part I.

I also like Airplane. There is a little known one called Love at Stake about the Salem witch trials-it was stupid but funny. And then there was Top Secret.

well to add to whats been said, "Air heads," and "Hot shots" would do, as well as all the "Naked Gun" movies.

and now, how I read this post, I had thought favorite movie that wan't supposed to be funny, but was so bad, that it was, so heres what Id add to that catagory: "Anaconda," "Congo,"  and "Passenger 57," amung many many others, tower over the rest.

I think Airplane is actually a little too respected to be called stupid.  My answer would probably be one of the Vacation movies.

Secret Admirerer
Never was an actor as stupid as C. Thomas Howell. ;D

I also liked Hardbodies, if only because of the eye candy (as in Candy Rapper.) Hated Hunter, though.

Just to add the Australian (or New Zealand) film 'Bad Taste' scores high in the stupid but funny category.

It's about a bunch of aliens that try to take over the world.

Something called "Robot Lover", or something like that. It was directed by (believe it or not) Wes Craven and also starred the beautiful but untalented Kristy Swanson of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" movie fame.

Would you be prefering to "The Adventures Of Buckaroo Bonzai In The 8th Dimension?" That movie would definately be in my favorite category, and Monty Python is amazing as well. And lets not forget that Every Sperm Is Precious.

They are too different films, John. 'Bad Taste' had an incredibly low budget but the effects were great.

Oh! Talk about bad taste, I watched about half hour of a film called 'Terror Firmer'. It was a Troman film (the group that did Toxic Avenger) and it was sick in a funny kind of way. At one stage, you saw a really fat man getting stuck in an escalator while being chopped up by a mad woman. Blood and gore was everywhere! I couldn't take too much of that so I changed channel.

It's a tough choice to just pick one out of the many already mentioned!! :o

I pick -

"A History of the World Part I"

"Naked Gun"

I changed my mind because I think the "Naked Gun" series is just a little itsy-teensy-teeny-weeny bit more on the stupid/silly side. ;D
