I'm still at school. I started my Standard Grade courses a few months ago. We could take 9 subjects, so I took Maths, English, Physics, Computing, Business Management and Modern Studies (so I could have a good mass-debate). They make you take a few arts as well as sciences, so I took Art and French. (Yawn and yawn)
I've made a list of careers I might like to do, though:

Loan Shark
Prime Minister
Dictator
Computer Games Designer
Gangland Boss
Puppeteer on "The Hoobs"
Narcotics Dealer
Pimp
Stockbroker
MP
Astronaut
Pop Star (because you don't have to do anything except plaster yourself in make-up, convince teenagers to copy you, flash anyone who's willing to look at you, and perhaps sing once in a while)
It-Girl (for the same reasons, only you don't even have to sing)
Smilies Artist
Cartoonist

The trouble with some of those is I don't know where to apply for them.

I 'work' in the legal profession...(and for someone who thinks most lawyers and solicitors should be burned at the stake, this is highly ironic...!)

But don't think for a minute that you'll find me clued up on anything legal (illegal, maybe!) - mostly what I do is print and distribute legal documents, agendas and the like...with a bit of admin (i.e., floor-sweeping) thrown in for good measure...

I've never been career-minded...doesn't show too much, I hope...!

Occupation? What's that? I have no idea. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

I am retired from the Air Force and I have my B.A. in History and Elementry Ed. I do have my teaching certifaction for K-6 but don't use it (but I did sub a few times). Right now, I do a lot of volunteer work. I sit on the board of directors for a local social service orginazation. I do publicity for them and I am the Food Shelf Coordinator among other things. There are two things that I SHOULD be doing. Finishing up my M.A. in History and writing-at least trying to get the children's book that I wrote published. Maybe some day. Of course what is stopping me is this message board because I spend most of my time here instead of writing.  ::)

I had a churus class when I was in 7th and 8th grade...I dropped it for art in 9th because, well, Im not gonna go around singing the folk songs that exercise no singing capibility what-so-ever that they'd make us sing.  But I mean, these were simple songs, and the teacher was about having enough of me by March of 8th grade, so I just dropped.  Oh man, I miss that class, it was fun, he'd as us all to stand up, and me and the kid next to me would turn the chairs of the people in the row in front of us the other way this way if they didnt look before they sat down, they'd wind up either hurting themselves, or causing a loud distraction.  It was fun.

I was planning on a career in pathology/forensics - but while I was in the sixth form at school, a new crime series about a pathologist came out (I think it might have been Silent Witness, but that might have been later), and I thought that if I applied then, people would think it was because of the TV series... so I changed my mind.  Seems an odd reason for a change in career, in retrospect.

A coroner doesn't in theory do any forensic work: he (or she, of course)'d be the person conducting the inquest and receiving the evidence from the pathologist or whoever.
