Subject: Halloween

Written By: CatwomanofV on 10/31/03 at 12:47 a.m.

Happy Halloween or Samhain (to my fellow pagan  ;)) I will be spending it handing out candy to all the little ghosts and gobblins that will come ringing our doorbell. Since we live in the middle of town, we get A LOT. I don't have as much candy that I had planned to hand out tonight because D.C. has already highjacked a few bags.  :-/  Debating whether to get more or not.  Have fun everyone.

I spent Halloween night at a metal concert! But considering I live in the Southern Hemisphere, Samhain down here is more correctly at the end of May, not October.  :)

Of course you should buy more candy.  It's best to have lots leftover. :D

Well, I didn't get any more candy but we do have quite a bit left over. We didn't have as many kids this year and the weather was a lot warmer than it had in the last couple of years. In fact, I sat out on the porch. My feet were a little chilled but that was because I didn't have shoes on. So I guess D.C. and I will have to eat all that left over candy. Don't you hate when that happens.  ;)

I sat around at home, although I almost went to probably the largest neighborhood around here to go trick-or-treating with some friends who live over there (we live in the 2nd largest - however, NO ONE my age was hanging out around here). My only other choice was to go to the football game, but I was too lazy to and decided I'd just stay at home, which was less enjoyable then I thought. Bored + Hyper = Bad.

Plus, I have 4 5th-graders running around the house (brother and friends).

My mom was gonna let me have a party too....ah, why didn't I....I was worried that feelings would be hurt for those uninvited, and I was worried about if my parents would freak out if a friend said a cuss word or something. Bleh.

Well for halloween, I spent the first seven hours in school, but we went trick or treating at lunch to every house down the block, and even though we had no costumes, they gave us candy... ;D.  Then me and my friend John hung out at my house all day, and like at 11:30 I hung out with Billy and his friends, and they rented "The Omen" and "Event Horizen," and we just finished watching them...good halloween.

We dont do Halloween here - although when it falls on a weekend its as good an excuse as any for a party theme !!  But the kids trick or treating etc isnt an Aussie custom.

BUT I hung up cute little plastic pumpkins on my door all week :)

So Happy Halloween to all my US pals.

Tonight grown ups will be dressing silly in Perth.  Its the Gay Mardi Gras Pride Parade.  Now that I have moved into the city centre - I have prime viewing from all my windows :)  I have been watching scantily dressed marching boys (all thoroughly unavailable - darnit) rehearsing for the past hour or so.

I went trick-or-treating yesterday with my sister and her friend. We were the Three Horsewomen of the Apocalypse. Death, War and Pestilence. We thought it'd be a problem with only three of us, but we just told everyone that Famine couldn't come because she got the munchies.
We dropped in on all our friends who tell us we're too old for that sort of thing- hopefully they were suitably embarrassed!

I think I saw Dr. Frank-n-Footer walking down my street last night. Since it was dark, I wasn't too sure.

It all started at about 10:10 am when my daughter had her first Halloween parade at school.  Her teacher came as a gingerbread man...it was pretty dang cute.

It was snowing here so there weren't many trick or treaters out and about...none at my house.  We went trick or treating for about a half hour then we went to a party at church. (It was inside, thankfully).  In all it was a pretty fun day.

well, i got my braces off yesterday. ;D  retainers kind of suck, but at least i can take 'em out for pictures and stuff.

i went trick-or-treating with some of my friends.  (yeah, i'm fifteen and i still go trick-or-treating.)  i'll show you a picture of my costume when i get the film developed.  i was a SPATULA.  that is without a doubt the coolest thing i have ever dressed up as.

after that, i went to my friends halloween party.  we played pool, ate food, harassed some people online, watched "halloween," and then watched two of the guys cover the other guy in silly string...it was awesome. :D

I just stayed home and watched some scary movies AND the Ninja Turtles movie with my friends.  It was even colder here this year than it was last year!  It got to be 20 degrees last night!

it looked liek that would happon to me, but I decided not to this year since, well for the last two years thats what we did, we used to hang out by green acres and do this to each other until like midnight, but this year we passed on this since everyone had paint ball guns and were gonna shoot people with them...

I had to dress up yesterday because my coworker forced us to. :P I dressed as a harem girl. Then we had a potluck breakfast (which was surprisingly good) and I came home. Later that night, I took my cousin trick or treating and then Rice Cube came over and we watched "The Matrix" since I had never seen it.

Well it was an eventfull night. First I went trick-or-treating with my friends, then got egged by a passing truck.  >:( And my friend Dave chased them for like a kilometer on foot afterwards.  ;) After we cussed them out.

My costume this year was more of political statement. I was dressed in army fatigues with a clownface. I also carreid a sign that said "Drop your pants, not bombs" on one side and "Have a pie fight not a fire fight" on the other.
I then went parading around the East Village(NYC).
Most people got a kick out of me, I even got mooned a couple of times(hey I asked for it!). Only one jerk said that I was being unpatriotic and should be ashamed of myself...ANYWAY
I gave him the finger and said lighten the $%!#$ up.
I then proceeded to down 2 bottles of Palo Viejo with my best friend. I love HAlloween!!! ;D
