Subject: This celebrity keeps following me around

Some of you probably know that I've taken a job teaching high school science, and as such I have to go to faculty meetings and stuff.  So today, guess who shows up?

Robin Williams!

That's right, Academy Award winner Robin Williams...he of Popeye and Good Morning Vietnam fame :D

Apparently one of the teachers' nephews died a few years back (:() but Robin Williams did a Make-A-Wish thing for him before he passed, and struck up a good friendship with the teacher, so since he was in town, he came in and did a bit of standup comedy and helped with the raffle :)  Very nice of him.

Anyway, Robin Williams filmed part of "Mrs. Doubtfire" in my hometown when I was in middle school, but I didn't get to meet him then...in '98 when I was a freshman at Cal, I got to meet him because I was working for the yearbook and he was filming "Patch Adams" on campus about a week after winning the Oscar for "Good Will Hunting" and he was really gracious.

I keep forgetting my camera, darn it ;D

Wow, that's awesome! Where's your hometown if you don't mind me asking?

My hometown is Danville, California.  I went to the University of California at Berkeley, where a lot of films have been shot.  Very beautiful campus :)

The only "celebrities" I ever met were the St. Johnstone coach (he was an England-hating prick) and that guy off The Beechgrove Garden.

There are good days and bad days...somehow between the time I graduated and now the American teenager work ethic degraded by several orders of magnitude so it's quite disappointing actually...

Im very jealous right now.....Robin Williams is one of the funniest people I have ever seen...An Evening with RObin WIlliams is one of the greatest comedy specials ever.....Some of his movis like Goodmorning Vietnam, Mrs Doubtfire, The World according to Garp, Death to Smootchie, one hour photo, Moscow on the hudson, Fisher king, etc etc etc are some of the greatest black comedies ever.....

though its probably better I dont meet him...Id probably demand my 9 dollars back for Insomnia.....
