Subject: your era and your parents' era

Written By: the_OlLine_Rebel on 12/23/03 at 01:55 p.m.

I'd be curious what the general "background" of various eras is, like "when" our parents came from.  I mean *coming of age* teen years, not when you're born (altho I guess it's the same difference).

This could never be scientific w/too few people, but what the heck.

What era "made" you, and what made your parents?

Me - Child of the '80s (born '69)

Both parents - Children of the '50s (born '37-'38 )

My mum- '60s and '70s. She is a huge fan of SF, especially Asimov's work, Star Trek and Star Wars.

Me- I'm still in adolescence, so I'm not really defined yet. I prefer to sit on the sidelines of society and enjoy SF. Particularly.... Asimov's work, Star Trek and Star Wars. (I even copied the Jedi hairstyle; yes, I am that sad.)
