As for me I looove country music, especially Chris Cagle as you can see! But I love almost all country, except Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts and people like that :-X

Mostly alternative rock and soft rock, like RHCP and U2, but I also like things that are a bit different, like The Darkness.
I am also ashamed to say that I used to be a fan of N*SYNC and The Backstreet Boys, but it was just a passing phase and I have since left the "Dark Side" and started listening to real music like those mentioned above....

I listen to almost everything. Some stuff, like gospel and all that, I don't listen to. And while I do listen to some, I don't listen to a lot of country or rap (esp. "gangsta" rap and most rap on MTV).
I'm not crazy about pop-punk, emocore/screamo, or any other genre in which all the bands sound the same.
Other than that, I'm good with anything. :D

i'll listen to mostly anything except country (EXCEPT george strait and bob wills; i have a blind spot for the texas playboys...no, not THOSE playboys. :D) or classical (like beethoven).
my favorites though are ska (especially third wave), punk, rock, and some pop...or a combination of those. right now, i'm digging the punk/metal/surf combination. :)

Some classical music is lovely. I especially like Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky and Verdi (Rigoletto is brilliant- if you haven't seen it, you really should).

*If I remember correctly, the 1812 overture is a work of it's own. (But yes, that is the one with cannon bangs)
*Bobby- if the words "5th symphony" stick out in your mind, more than likely you'll want to associate them with Beethoven-that's one of his most famous works. (Although not a personal favorite of mine)

Well, antmusic is the name Adam and the Ants gave their music because it is so different from most other kinds of music because first of all, Adam and the Ants had two drummers and a lot of their music focused on tribal rythms, what Adam called the Burundi beat. Adam used the term Antmusic because he wanted to prevent bracketing with other artists and because it took him and Marco 4 years to get the sound that he is best known for today.
Antmusic was very sexual music both visually and artistically, just listen to some of Adam and the Ants music, and I'm not talking about songs like Goody Two Shoes or Strip because that is not what I associate with as Antmusic, it was more just pop music, but I do think its good.
Some of the best examples of Antmusic are, "Kings of the Wild Frontier", "Stand and Deliver", "Antmusic","Dog Eat Dog","The Human Beings","Prince Charming", and a lot more.
So when I say antmusic, that is what I mean, Antmusic is very much in a class by itself.
Bow Wow Wow is also known for their one and only hit "I want Candy" because of the tribal rythms but that was only so because Malcolm McClaren had briefly worked with Adam and the two hit upon the idea of mixing tribal rythms with pirate/warrior type imagery. McClaren liked the idea so much he ended up taking Adam's original Ants and forming Bow Wow Wow with them.

have you heard sugar ray's cover of "stand and deliver"? it's nowhere near as good as the original, but i didn't think it was that bad. :)

Yeah, I have heard it, I love Sugar Ray too!! I thought their cover was actually kinda good!! I thought it was funny the way Mark tried to imitate Adam's voice, but it was good, they even remembered to add in the cowbell in the background of the song which seemed to be just slightly off beat with the rest of the song, making it noticeable.
I will take Adam's version of it any day though, hands down.
Its just a really great song that a lot of people should know about if they don't already.
