Despite not being super religious anymore, I do believe in angels. Why? Because I saw my guardian angel when I was a little girl.

I once talked to some sort of spiritual thing- I was at the graveyard and it talked me out of suicide. Only it wasn't like actually hearing a voice- it was like I was thinking the replies, but they weren't my thoughts.
I don't think angels are all like the winged, white robe and halo stereotype- I think they're the souls of people that have left their bodies and joined God.

You are right, I think. Does the Bible ever say all angels are winging their way thru the Heavens?  Only certain levels of angels have any wings at all and then few people have witnessed angels with or without wings anyway.  But truly, they are more like loving guiding spirits that help us or watch over us.  Stories of "the mysterious stranger who help..." are probably in fact, very good samaritans, or angels.
Sorry to be throwing religion on you.  I'm trying to earn  respect as a youth leader at church, so voicing my opinion is an aquired talent I'm trying to develop in order to get our discussions going during meeting nights.

Yes I do.I tried to contact mine once after reading how to in a magazine and had quite an amusing experience !.I did all the quiet room, relax etc I can't quite remember what you had to do next but you are meant to get a colour and I got the colour orange.Next as clear as day I saw this image in my mind of a  tall man with short blonde hair standing in a doorway. He looked at me in a really cross way and shut the door firmly in my face !! I came to the conclusion if that was my angel then he wasn't wanting to see me at that point in time and have never tried it again !

Yes, I believe in Angels. My mother used to tell us to save some food on our plate for our Guardian Angel. I did have one encounter with an angel once. Long story but what the heck.
I had just delivered by first child (son) and my mother was at my house helping me. My husband had previously bought me a .22 pink handled gun for Valentines Day (don't ask). Anyhow, this man came to our door and told my mother he was a truck driver that had broken down on the highway. (1 mile away) I didn't believe him, but my mom asked what she could do. he asked to come in, I said no, but she opened the door. He was thirsty and didn't have any money. My mom went to the kitchen to get a glass of tea, and I sat in the living room with my arm under a pillow, holding the gun, and my son was on my other arm. The man looked at me with sad eyes and for some reason I felt ashamed. My mother further invited him to have some chicken we had just mad and he ate alot. Then he walks to the door and turned around. He thanked us for feeding him and giving him water. He said that all the houses he had been to had slammed the door on him. He told my mother that she had restored his faith in people. He began walking down the long drive way and I watched him. Never once did I remove my eyes from him and as he passed a small car he was gone. I freaked out and asked my mom if she say that and she said yes. She then told me if anyone comes to your door asking for food or water to give it to them. She said, you never know, it could be God. That is a true story,so yes, I believe in Angels.

I definately do believe in angels. More than 30 years ago two of my little sons were killed in an accident and two others along with my husband and I were seriously injured. Drs. told us our two surviving sons would need a miracle to survive their injuries. After a time, my husband and I were discharged but the boys remained in intensive care unit fighting for their lives. I stayed as close to them as possible for several days. I could not find peace. I couldn't sleep or eat. Drs. told me if I didn't go home and rest for one day I was going to be a patient again. My husband took me home but still could not sleep more than 15-20 minutes at a time. Back then our church doors had no locks. The doors were always open for anyone who felt the need to enter. My need was great and I stayed there and prayed for what seemed a long time. I finally grew tired of praying and just sat alone in the pew. I couldn't think straight. Thoughts of burrying two more children was more than I could bear. I thought of suicide and finally drifted off to sleep. I awoke to a bright blue light filling the room. There was no sound but I could clearly understand that this a message. The message was to go and not be afraid. The boys would be ok. They need me now so go.
Immediately, I felt as if a huge heavy load had been lifted from me. I went home, and we went to the hospital where they told us both boys had shown signs of significant improvement in only the past few hours and one had regained consciousness. They had tried to call our home but there was no answer. We stayed there with the boys thru the night and the next day the other son regained counsciousness. It was all uphill from there. They had a very long recovery but progress was made daily.
Both boys are grown now and both are very normal and healthy.
Do I believe in angels?   You bet I do!!!
