Subject: CDs you want

Written By: Junior on 02/13/04 at 08:54 p.m.

Just a list of CDs you want that you can't find or haven't gotten around to buying yet...

For me, personally, it's:

- just a few miscellaneous indie CDs - 20 Minute Loop (band from San Fran, CA), Dolour (band from Seattle, WA), and Vic Thrill (from Washington I think).
- John Vanderslice "Time Travel Is Lonely"; "Life Of An American Fourtracker"; "Cellar Door"
- Beck "Midnite Vultures"
- Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Fever To Tell"
- Elvis Costello "My Aim Is True"
- The Who "The Who Sings My Generation"

CMJ Volume #1 July 1993

I have all 120 volumes with the exception of that one.  I've been collecting all the individual songs that make it up though (and they should all appear within a week or two).  I passed up the opportunity to buy it in 1994 when I had the chance to buy it direct from the magazine, and now of course it's impossible to find.  I don't even save the magazines anymore, (too much space needed).

I'm also looking for Dweezil Zappa "Havin' a Bad Day" and "My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama", which are very difficult to find on CD.  And A Flock of Seagulls "Dream Come True", The Chipmunks "Chipmunk Punk" and the November Group.

Actually, there's plenty of stuff still not on CD, even after all these years.  I had to spend $20 to get an import version of Olivia Newton-John's "Totally Hot" because it's no longer available in the US.
